The letter of intent signed in May this year between the Accor Group and PHH Group is giving first effects. Representatives of both companies have signed a franchise agreement. As part of the cooperation, the seaside resort Interferie Hotel Medical Spa in Świnoujście, which is part of the PHH Group, is changing its name to Mövenpick, a premium brand belonging to the Accor Group. The new Mövenpick Świnoujście Medical Spa Resort will welcome guests in just over a few months.

Accor and PHH Group announced their partnership in May this year, announcing the rebranding of the Interferie Hotel Medical Spa. The fruit of the cooperation is the franchise agreement signed by the parties. Preparations for the opening of the Mövenpick Świnoujście Medical Spa Resort will be filled with intensive modernisation work to prepare the hotel for the requirements of the Mövenpick brand and the expectations of guests of premium hotels.

“Managed by our partner, the hotel in Świnoujście fits perfectly into the character of the Mövenpick brand not only due to its location in the spa part of one of the most popular resorts in Poland but also due to its rich recreational and treatment offer and modern conference facilities. I believe that the Mövenpick Świnoujście Medical Spa Resort hotel will win the hearts of travellers from Poland, Europe and the world", said Frank Reul, VP - Development Accor Premium, Midscale&Economy, Eastern Europe, Balkans, Italy&Greece.

Mövenpick Świnoujście Medical Spa Resort will offer guests 308 rooms, including suites and family studios, as well as two restaurants, a craft brewery and an extensive spa and wellness area. A distinguishing feature of the facility is the professional treatment rooms with therapeutic and rehabilitation offerings. Business guests, meanwhile, will appreciate the hotel's 740 sqm of conference space.

“Thanks to the cooperation with Accor, the Mövenpick Świnoujście Medical Spa Resort hotel will develop its full potential. Our partner's know-how and the recognisability of its brand will strengthen the market position of our facility, while the change of logo and the associated benefits will allow us to reach an even larger group of tourists and corporate guests looking for an attractive destination on the Baltic Sea with our offer. I am sure that together with the Accor Group we will create a completely unique place on the Polish coast", said Gheorghe Marian Cristescu, President of the Management Board, PHH Group.

Mövenpick is a premium brand originating from Switzerland, whose portfolio currently includes more than 110 properties worldwide - both city hotels and resorts located in tourist destinations. The agreement on the Mövenpick Świnoujście Medical Spa Resort opens the next chapter of the brand's expansion in Central and Eastern Europe. Mövenpick hotels are currently under construction in Serbia and Hungary, among others, with openings in the Czech Republic and Estonia also in the queue. In Poland, Mövenpick Świnoujście Medical Spa Resort will join the city facilities in Wrocław and Poznań and the mountain resorts in Karpacz and Zakopane.
