Logistics company Kuehne+Nagel has taken over a completed industrial hall at Business Park Prague Airport II near the Central Bohemian village of Pavlov. The project was developed by Panattoni, with investment group Accolade as the investor.
Kuehne+Nagel has been operating in the Czech Republic since the early 1990s and has long been developing its services in sea, air, road and contract logistics. Taking over the new hall represents another step in modernising its infrastructure and creating a working environment for employees.
"Contract logistics is a part of the logistics services we provide, so we are pleased that we can now offer our customers 9,000 sqm of new warehouse space in the highest standard and ensure safe, modern facilities for our employees. With regard to sustainability, we welcome that the building aspires to achieve an Excellent rating under Breeam New Construction certification. The cooperation with Panattoni, which handled the construction, was equally excellent," said Luboš Voráček, National Contract Logistics Manager at Kuehne+Nagel.
The hall has a total leasable area of 10,500 sqm and is fully occupied by Kuehne+Nagel. Approximately 9,000 sqm comprises warehouse space, with the remainder consisting of offices and mezzanine. The building was designed and built to measure for the tenant's operational needs, with regard to efficient operation layout and the possibility of further development of logistics activities.
"The new building for Kuehne+Nagel combines transport accessibility, high technical standards and emphasis on sustainability. We designed the hall as a functional unit precisely according to the tenant's needs to support their operations and further development long-term. It represents another chapter of Panattoni Business Park Prague Airport II. We are proud to welcome another company of international significance here," says Jan Andrejco, Regional Development Director at Panattoni.
The building targets an Excellent rating under the international Breeam New Construction sustainability certification. Solutions include fossil-free heating using heat pumps, possibility of installing photovoltaic panels, rainwater management system, electromobility infrastructure and elements supporting biodiversity in the area. The new hall is the second building in the area created in cooperation between developer Panattoni and investment group Accolade. The leasable area of jointly completed projects in the park exceeds 21,000 sqm, with the total area of the industrial zone approaching 140,000 sqm.
