The construction works on the new business park in Craiova are ongoing and the first 10,000 sqm of industrial space will be delivered by the end of the year, Romanian real estate developer Zacaria announced. Southern Industrial Park will comprise 43,000 sqm of Class A industrial space, fully equipped for activities such as storage, logistics, cross-docking or manufacturing.

Southern Industrial Park, located in Craiova, is Zacaria’s first investment in the Southern region of the country and comes as a response to the increasing demand in the area for premium industrial spaces.

Construction of the first phase, comprising of a 33,000 sqm warehouse suitable for storage, manufacturing, services or logistics purposes, will be completed early next year.

The building has been designed to meet the highest standards and every rented unit will feature utilities metered individually (water, gas, electricity), office spaces and sanitary facilities, automatic industrial doors, private parking spaces, CCTV monitoring and security services. Each space will be tailored to meet the client’s requirements.

“Southern Industrial Park marks one of the most important investments for Zacaria and we took the decision to develop this property after receiving requests from our clients. In the 43,000 sqm of modern industrial space, our tenants will benefit from a turnkey facility, customized to meet their business requirements, at the highest quality standards but maintaining, at the same time, an affordable lease. The space will be divided on request in units of minimum 500 sqm. The first clients have already commissioned for lease units in the new warehouse”, stated Emilia Țepeș, National Sales Director.

Southern Industrial Park was acquired in 2015 and has a total area of 100,000 sqm. Located next to the Ford production facility, on Henry Ford street, it provides quick access to the main roads towards Pitești, București and the Bulgarian and Serbian borders.

Zacaria, part of the international group Alf Mizzi & Sons, founded in Malta over 100 years ago, has been providing turnkey industrial buildings in Romania since 2009. Zacaria’s industrial portfolio consists of 300,000 sqm lettable area, comprising both industrial and office space, spread across 6 cities around the country, and continues to develop its industrial projects by purchasing land and warehouses in a wide range of locations throughout the country.
