Panattoni to deliver 20,000 sqm production plant in Warsaw

Panattoni is developing its portfolio in the vicinity of Warsaw. The developer has completed the development of almost 40,000 sqm as part of its City Logistics Warsaw IV project in Annopol. Half of the space is to be taken up in July this year by TRUMPF Huettinger. The production plant is to serve markets that include the US, Japan, Korea and China.

CA Immo Poland records increase in leasing activity

CA Immo has concluded 45 lease agreements with a total of nearly 29,000 sqm of office space in Warsaw in the past year, 20% of which in the fourth quarter of 2022. Based on the Group's international net zero initiative, the company has also introduced a green lease initiative in 2022, governing mutual commitment of landlord and tenant to optimize sustainable building operations. Since May 2022, 23 green lease agreements have already been concluded.

Polish outlet centre ranks high among Europe's most successful

The most successful outlet centres in Europe have a new leader. Cheshire Oaks, located south of Liverpool in the industrial town of Ellesmere Port, is the second English centre to top the list of the most successful outlet centres in Europe. Until now, this rank in England was reserved for Bicester Village, which is located near the university city of Oxford as well as the tourist attraction Stonehenge. This is a result of the "Outlet Centre Performance Report Europe" (OCPRE), which has been updated annually since 2008 and whose latest edition has just been published. The third place has been taken by Designer Outlet Warsaw in Piaseczno near the Polish capital.

Livos Group buys 63 apartments in Warsaw high-rise building

Another German investor is entering the Polish property market. The Livos Group of companies is starting its expansion in Poland with Warsaw. The investor has purchased 63 residential units in the Złota 44 high-rise building in the very centre of the Polish capital. The seller was Catella Residential Investment Management, which has thus withdrawn from this country, Investmap.pl reports.

HB Reavis secures record-breaking funding for Varso Tower

A syndicate of four banks granted HB Reavis a loan for refinancing the Varso Place project, a mixed-use scheme in central Warsaw. The total amount of €475 million makes it the largest non-portfolio loan in the history of the commercial real estate market in Poland and one of the biggest in Central and Eastern Europe. The last stage of Varso Place, Varso Tower, was delivered in 2022.

New leases

  • Cărturești is set to become an anchor brand in the RIVUS project developed by Iulius, in Cluj-Napoca, where it will house the country's largest bookstore. The company will lease 2,500 sqm of space, spread across two levels.
  • M1 Poznań, managed by EPP, one of the largest family shopping centres in Wielkopolska, has just gained a new, unique tenant, CentrumRowerowe.pl, which is making its debut in Wielkopolska. In the summer, HalfPrice will also join the list of tenants of the centre, offering global brands, including fashion, home furnishings and sports goods at attractive prices. Customers can also already use the assortment of the recently opened Reporter clothing store and the Rainbow travel agency. All new contracts cover over 5,000 sqm of retail space.
  • Three companies from the PZU Group, one of the largest financial institutions in Poland and Central & Eastern Europe, have decided to lease space at Konstruktorska Business Center in Warsaw for another 10 years. The companies have renewed their lease for a total of over 6,500 sqm of modern office space in the building owned by Golden Star Group.

New appointments

  • Elżbieta Majdan is joining the Property & Asset Management team at Savills Poland as an Associate Director. Elżbieta brings 15 years of experience in managing and commercialising retail properties, gained while implementing key projects on the Polish market.
  • Savills Czech Republic announces new hires and promotions within its valuation team. Daniel Duchek has joined as a Senior Valuer, Alena Arnoldová has strengthened the team as a Junior Valuer, and Ivana Horáková has been promoted Valuer. Under the leadership of Marek Pohl, the team now consists of seven consultants specialising in the valuation of a wide range of assets – from commercial, residential, and hospitality properties to leisure, healthcare facilities, and land.
  • Ewa Nowak, a commercial property valuer, has joined the Valuation Department of international real estate advisory firm Newmark Polska as Senior Associate.
