Accor opens ibis Styles Warsaw Airport

At the beginning of August, ibis Styles Warszawa Airport with 124 rooms was launched in Warsaw, replacing Holiday Inn Express Airport opened in 2012 in the Poleczki Park complex with six office buildings. It is the 19th facility under the ibis Styles brand in Poland. The hotel is managed by the Accor network.

Czech real estate fund Investika buys offices in Warsaw

Czech real estate fund Investika's latest acquisition is the Royal Trakt Offices building in Warsaw. The roughly 150-year-old property in the centre of the capital city was bought by the fund from global real estate investor Patrizia SE. The acquisition was announced to Property Forum by Linklaters, the law firm that advised the real estate fund Investika during the acquisition. No further details of the transaction have been disclosed yet.

Optimism prevails in Warsaw's office market despite supply gap

Despite a supply gap and a low level of new completions (18,700 sqm in H1), there is a lot of optimism in the capital’s office market. Over 230,000 sqm is scheduled to be delivered in the next three years, which will significantly increase the amount of office space available to let. Trumpf Huettinger to occupy 25,000 sqm at CTPark Warsaw East

Trumpf Huettinger, which specialises in the design and production of advanced industrial electronics, is opening its seventh building in the fourth location in the Warsaw metropolitan area. The company has leased nearly 25,400 square meters of production and warehouse space at CTPark Warsaw East in Kobyłka, owned by CTP. At its latest Polish facility, Trumpf Huettinger will launch the largest production of control cabinets for the high-tech industry in Europe. Colliers facilitated the lease transaction of the CTPark Warsaw East building.

Occupiers in Warsaw focus on energy and environmental efficiency

According to the new report published by Newmark Polska, key themes defining the Warsaw office market in the first half of 2023 included waiting for new office completions and adjusting occupied space to widely popular hybrid working models. Despite new supply constraints and relatively muted development activity, the city’s vacancy rate edged down marginally in the second quarter of this year. Leasing activity reached a similar level to that of the first three months of 2023.

New leases

  • Eazy Asigurări has leased 1,000 sqm within Bucharest-based One Cotroceni Park, developed by One United Properties.
  • Print Logistic's Polish HQ has been relocated to City Logistics Łódź VI, owned by Panattoni. The new production and office space, totalling nearly 6,200 sqm, is scheduled to open in May 2026. The deal was brokered by Savills.
  • Automotive companies, including Mercedes-Benz Romania, Maserati, Chery, Daimler Truck & Bus, and a major global electric vehicle manufacturer, have established offices and showrooms within the Swan Office & Technology Park project, owned by Smartown Group. These occupiers hold a total leased area of 9,000 sqm, further complemented by Moto24/Xplorator.

New appointments

  • Nhood has appointed Mihaela Petruescu as the new Country Director for Property Services Romania & Poland as of October. She previously held leadership positions at large real estate firms, such as Cushman & Wakefield Echinox and CBRE Romania.
  • Daniel Orczyk has been named Senior Project Manager at the technical advisory department of Avison Young in Poland. He is a licensed structural engineer and building site manager with over 20 years of experience.
  • Łukasz Meisner has joined Peakside Capital Advisors as Head of Project Management. He will be responsible for the management of Peakside's investment projects in Poland, including overseeing the implementation of key investments within the City Point, Urban Parks, and Peakside Industrial logistics platforms.
