Real estate developer Zacaria announced the expansion of Western Industrial Park in Oradea with a new warehouse of more than 6,300 sqm, already commissioned by a German tenant in the process of opening its first subsidiary in Romania.

The ParkLake shopping mall in Bucharest, developed by a joint venture of Sonae Sierra and Caelum Development, has received a BREEAM certification with a rating of ‘Excellent’.

Polish developer MLP Group will build a new logistics park in Romania. The development project will be executed near Bucharest on an 18.8 ha plot of land. The target total area of this complex of facilities will be approx. 80,000 square meters of modern warehousing space.

Demand on Romania's industrial and logistics market reached 456,000 square meters in the first nine months of 2017, close to the level recorded for the whole last year when it cumulated 463,000 square meters, according to JLL:

Logicor completed the development of a new 40,000 sqm warehouse in the Logicor Bucharest I park, located in Mogosoaia.

One United Properties, a Romanian residential developer has entered the Bucharest office investment market by purchasing the North Gate office building in Pipera. The property was bought at a public auction for €16.8 million. The developer of the complex, Creativ Invest Grup, filed for insolvency earlier.

French real estate group Catinvest plans to expand Electroputere Parc, the company’s shopping mall in Craiova, by 9,200 sqm. The group has also started the construction of an additional mixed-use building which will comprise 12,000 sqm of retail space, 15,000 sqm of Class A office space and over 700 underground parking spaces. Total investment in will exceed €70 million by the end of 2018.

DIY retailer Dedeman has agreed to buy a 27,000 sqm plot in Western Bucharest from Industria Iutei for approximately €6.7 million, zf.ro reports.

Secure Property Development and Investment PLC, an SEE-focused property and investment company, announced the proposed acquisition of up to a 50% interest in a portfolio of fully let logistics properties in Romania. The so-called Olympians Portfolio comprises assets in Bucharest, Timisoara and Brasov. The gross asset value of the 100,000 sqm portfolio is approximately €50 million and there is a senior loan liability of approximately €30 million secured against the portfolio.
