Warehouse tenants are adopting increasingly advanced technologies to meet client requirements, but at the same time, they also need to be mindful of employee wellbeing. Standard buildings in industrial parks are not enough. Companies need customised warehouses and tailor-made solutions, say experts from Newmark Poland.

European Logistics Investment (ELI), a logistics platform operating in the Polish market owned by Redefine Properties, Madison International Realty, and Griffin Capital Partners, has completed the construction of two warehouses in Silesia. The first is in Knurów and has been fully leased to Fortaco Group; the second is located in Ruda Śląska and is let to Konimpex.

In the first half of 2024, Echo Investment Group successfully implemented its growth strategy, continuing construction projects, selling nearly 900 apartments, and debuting in the private student housing segment. The Group's total assets at the end of June exceeded PLN 6.5 billion (ca. €1.5 billion) with cash reserves surpassing PLN 523 million (ca. €121 million).

CTP has leased an additional 10,000 sqm at its CTPark Warsaw South to Polish logistics operator TAS Logistyka sp. z o.o. It will now occupy 25,000 sqm of warehouse space, an increase of 67 per cent on the original space leased.

Panattoni has fully commercialised City Logistics Kraków Airport II, its latest project in Małopolska. A second tenant has been found for the development completed in July this year and is to take up 20,050 sqm.

Quadra Underwriting announced the appointment of Andrew Jackson as the new Business Development Director and Shareholder. He is to accelerate the company's plans for European expansion.

Nepi Rockcastle is in negotiations to acquire Magnolia Park, a shopping centre located in Wroclaw, Poland from Union Investment Real Estate. The property features 100,000 sqm GLA. The potential acquisition remains subject to the execution of formal written agreements, which is expected to occur in the coming weeks.

Poland has seen one of the fastest residential rental growth rates in the European Union in the last five years, with rental inflation in major cities rising to double-digit levels. This growth was largely driven by elevated financing costs, inflation and the migration of people to Polish cities.
