Prologis has started construction of a speculative facility totalling 9,200 square metres at Prologis Park Szczecin. The building is 60 percent pre-let to an international furniture company, which will occupy a total of 19,600 square metres in the park, including space in the new development. The building is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2017.

Immofinanz will soon start construction on a further shopping centre under its VIVO! brand in the Polish city of Krosno. The new shopping centre will have approx. 21,000 sqm of rentable space for more than 60 shops. Pre-rentals are successfully underway, with the future tenants including H&M, Media Markt and Helios Cinema. The investment costs will total approx. €34 million, and the opening is planned for the fourth quarter of 2017. The VIVO! Krosno will be the third VIVO! shopping centre in Poland. 

Galeria Metropolia in Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz was officially opened on 22 October 2016. Przedsiębiorstwo Budowlane Górski is the investor of the shoping centre, whilst Cushman & Wakefield is responsible for its commercialization.

The Polish unit of Swedish IT company Cybercom has leased over 2,500 sqm of space in the Nowa Fabryczna office building developed by Skanska in the city of Łódź. JLL advised Cybercom on the leasing process.

Prologis has signed two new lease agreements totalling 15,750 square metres at Prologis Park Teresin.

Sii has leased over 3,400 sqm of space from Skanska in Poznań’s Maraton office building in order to design an office for both its current team and 200 new specialists who will be employed by the end of 2018. 

After a calm Q3, the Polish retail market is set to pick up momentum. In Q4 developers may deliver up to 276,000 sqm of modern shopping centre space. JLL has published its Q3 2016 report on Poland's retail market.

The commercialization of Gdańsk’s Galeria Metropolia, which is scheduled to open on 22-23 October, is nearing completion. Fourteen new tenants include fashion stores, cafés and services. Cushman & Wakefield  acted as the agent on the lease agreements.

Central and Eastern European housing markets are over the crisis and prices have once again begun to rise. The general upswing, observed on European housing markets, is supported by a number of factors. Following the economic crisis, GDP has begun to grow once again in most countries and the interest environment is also favourable to borrowing. These both contribute to a recovery in housing market demand, which may then materialise in higher prices. In the case of housing markets in the Central and Eastern European region, significant differences in price dynamics may be observed. Hungary stands out from the field, where a highly significant price rise has been observed in the past two years with the prices of second-hand homes having grown by 29 percent. HB Reavis has selected JLL as the property manager of West Station I in Warsaw. JLL will be responsible for maintaining relations with tenants and supervising the technical, operational and administrative aspects of the building.
