The intensive construction of warehouse and production facilities for lease across the Czech Republic continued into the first quarter of 2025, according to the analysis of demand and availability of modern industrial space by Savills. However, supply remains insufficient in certain key markets, particularly in Prague and Brno. 

The panorama of the historic centre of Olomouc is not changing yet. In recent days, the regional court has annulled the zoning decision for the planned construction of a skyscraper by Redstone, reports E15.cz.

More and more companies are considering expanding into Czech regions, but a lack of suitable office space is preventing them from doing so. In regions outside of Prague or Brno, there is not only a shortage of modern space for rent, but also a lack of flex operators. Those types of businesses could benefit from the growing interest of international companies in the Hub & Spoke or Flex & Core model, reports Colliers. 

VGP has concluded a lease agreement with Pilulka Lékárny for 4,479 sqm of warehouse space in the newly completed hall "I" in VGP Park Olomouc. The company is one of the largest pharmaceutical and pharmacy groups in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The warehouses in Olomouc will be used for supplying customers in several regions: Brno, Ostrava, Olomouc and Prostějov. The new premises have been implemented in the BREEAM Very Good green certification.

Investment group DRFG has acquired land near the main railway station in Olomouc (the eastern province of Moravia in the Czech Republic) in March this year and plans to build flats and commercial premises there. It plans to build a multifunctional residential complex with retail space and offices on this brownfield site with a total market value of CZK 2.6 billion and an area of 43,000 sqm by 2025. The architectural design of the complex is currently being finalised. DRFG Group informed about its new acquisition and construction plans in a press release today.

Czech real estate fund Trigea bought two retail parks in Moravia – Retail Park Haná in Olomouc and the shopping centre Retail Park Ostrava, expanding its existing portfolio of three properties with additional retail projects.  

Local investor DRFG, through its Czech Real Estate Investment Fund, has acquired the Olomouc CITY shopping centre from Mint Investments. With this acquisition, DRFG manages the first primarily leisure-oriented property in its portfolio.

CPI Property Group acquired three hotel properties in the Czech Republic and Hungary: a historical building in Český Krumlov, an existing hotel in Olomouc and an office building adjacent to a hotel in Budapest.
