Panattoni to build new facility in Olsztyn

Panattoni is building the first modern multi-tenant distribution centre in the Warmia and Mazury region. Panattoni Park Olsztyn, featuring in excess of 36,000 sqm, will be delivered in the Stawiguda commune, in the immediate vicinity of the Olsztyn Południe junction, connecting S51 with S16, approx. 20 km from the S7 route. The project will be implemented in several stages and the first tenants will able to move to in as early as August this year. One of the factors which made the launch of the project possible was the lease by A&E Clothing, an American company specialising in textile recycling, which will take up in excess of 7,500 sqm of office and production space. The deal was negotiated on behalf of the customer by Axi Immo.

Singapore-based investor closes first fund with Polish acquisition

Singapore-based alternative asset manager Elite Partners Capital has announced the first close of its pure-play Elite Logistics Fund. Launched in January 2020, Elite Logistics Fund, which targets investment opportunities in the EU and UK logistics sectors, now holds more than 372,000 sqm of logistics assets in Poland and the UK.

Erste sells land for warehouse development near Budapest

Erste Real Estate, a subsidiary of Erste Bank Hungary, has signed an agreement to sell 57 hectares of a 170-hectare plot in Ecser, next to Budapest, to an international logistics company that intends to build a 100,000-square-meter high bay warehouse on the plot. VLK Cresa assisted the seller in this transaction.

Panattoni certifies Amazon building in Southern Poland

Panattoni received a BREEAM International New Construction certification with a Very Good rating. The new endorsement was awarded to the developer’s 60,000-square-metre project for Amazon in Okmiany near Bolesławiec. The facility was recognised for its features, including the water system which obtained the highest possible score.

Jysk to build €200 million logistics base in Hungary

Furniture retailer Jysk will begin building a new distribution centre in Ecser, Hungary in April. When in operation, the €200 million distribution centre will employ around 300 people and further strengthen the company’s logistics setup in Europe, the company announced.

Panattoni signs leases for 200,000 sqm in March

In Q1 2020, Panattoni signed leases for more than 425,000 sqm, of which 207,000 sqm were taken up in March alone. There was 1,051,777 sqm under development, and since the beginning of its European operations, Panattoni has delivered 10 million square metres, with 7.6 million of that in Poland.

Panattoni extends manufacturing facility in Szczecin

Panattoni is extending a production plant making specialised telecommunications systems at Panattoni Park Szczecin I. Next to the existing 32,000 sqm, the developer will build a further 24,000 sqm. As a result, this June the logistics and industrial complex will be 80 percent completed, and by year-end Panattoni intends to embark on the construction of the final 42,000 sqm phase of the park, completing the entire project planned to total 220,700 sqm.

New leases

  • Jack & Jones has leased 310 sqm for a new store at Promenada Sibiu, owned by NEPI Rockcastle.
  • Palas Campus, Romania's largest office building, is set to host the new regional hub for BCR starting this autumn. The HQ will occupy a surface area of approximately 1,000 sqm and will serve clients from the local county and adjacent regions.
  • Teva Pharmaceuticals has relocated its offices to Budapest-based Corvin Skypark. The deal covering 653 sqm was brokered by iO Partners.

New appointments

  • NEPI Rockcastle has nominated Zelda Roscherr as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Roscherr will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May 2026. André van der Veer, currently an Independent Non-Executive Director, will retire at the conclusion of the AGM and will not seek re-election.
  • Panattoni has promoted Nick Cripps to the position of Head of International Capital Markets for Europe, the UK, the Middle East, and India. Based in London, Cripps is tasked with leading the firm’s global capital markets strategy across 18 diverse markets. He joined Panattoni five years ago as Head of UK Capital Markets.
  • PSN has expanded its acquisitions team with the arrival of Martin Šrytr as Business Development Manager. Most recently, he served as Real Estate Expansion Manager at Twistcafe Group, supporting the company’s EMEA growth. His previous experience includes consulting at Cushman & Wakefield, advisory roles at Prochazka & Partners, and management positions within IWG.
