Occupiers looking for quality workspace in Europe will face tough competition for the best space in the leasing market despite the most active period of new office construction in half a decade, Savills predicts. Newly developed offices set to complete in the region this year will provide 26% more space compared with 2020, says the European Office Development report.

Palača Pošta, a unique high street commercial building in Ljubljana, Slovenia has become available for rent. The owner, Pošta Slovenije, who has been the sole user of the building until now, has retained KF Finance, to act as their exclusive real estate broker for leasing. KF Finance is the leading financial advisory company in the region, with a team of 50 finance professionals in offices in Ljubljana, Zagreb and Belgrade, offering clients a comprehensive range of financial advisory services.

The Q1 2021 results of the RICS Global Commercial Property Monitor indicate a slightly less negative market sentiment across Europe compared to the previous quarter. Rental growth expectations remain negative within the office and retail sectors across all European nations covered, while the outlook for industrial markets has never been more positive.

Real estate group Immofinanz says it has concluded a long-term rental contract for roughly 11,000 sqm with healthcare services provider Provita Group.

Savills has been appointed by Atrium European Real Estate as sole letting agent for office space in all the buildings owned by the fund in Poland.

Immofinanz plans major upgrades at its myhive Haller Gardens office building in Budapest, including new services for the tenants. The owner expects demand to increase for more flexible workspace solutions and plans to alter leasing conditions accordingly.

Consulting company Walter Herz has been appointed the leading agency responsible for commercialisation of space in EQ2 office building in Warsaw, developed by Waryński Group. Handover is planned for March 2021.
