Business services sector drives regional markets in Poland

Up to 210,000 sqm of modern office space was leased in H1 2017 by companies from the business services sector - this accounts for 60% of overall demand for office space outside Warsaw. According to forecasts by ABSL, employment in business service centres in Poland will continue to grow. By 2020, the sector will likely employ approximately 300,000 specialists, further fuelling office take-up. As a consequence, smaller cities will be even more competitive to attract investors. JLL has conducted an analysis of the activity of tenants from the business services sector outside Warsaw in H1 2017.

JLL selected as leasing agent for The Warsaw HUB

JLL has been selected as the exclusive leasing agent for office and retail space located in Ghelamco's biggest investment in Poland to date, The Warsaw HUB. The complex will consist of three skyscrapers and it will offer approx. 113,000 sqm of multi-functional space.

Class B office building changes hands in Bratislava

JLL‘s Slovak Capital Markets team has successfully closed the sale process of the Quadro office building in Bratislava, Slovakia. JLL team acted on behalf of CEE Property Development Portfolio 2, a.s., (CPDP2) a real estate investment and asset management company, part of the Česká spořitelna Financial Group. The Quadro building was acquired by Slovakia-based property company backed by Israeli and US capital. The value of the transaction remains confidential.

Poland in Europe's top three for industrial space demand

1.72 million sqm of industrial space was leased in Poland in H1 2017 which is the best result in market history. Net take-up totalled 1.3 million sqm which is the third best result in Europe. Cautious start of the year in Slovakia

Latest news


New leases

  • Business Garden Wrocław has signed up a new tenant: Travelplanet.pl., who just leased close to 730 sqm of office space. The ISOC Group, the owner of the three buildings developed as part of the first phase of the office complex, was advised on the lease transaction by Savills.
  • Cushman & Wakefield Echinox has appointed Cristi Moga as Head of Capital Markets. Moga has been working in the research department of the real estate consultancy since 2015.
  • Property developer Prime Kapital has extended its office lease in Globalworth Tower, Bucharest, for another five years. The company will occupy 3,066 sqm, which is more than double compared to the previous lease deal.

New appointments

  • Joanna Lewandowska joined 7R as Head of Construction and Design. She will manage a team of professionals involved in the design and architecture of warehouse and industrial buildings and will also supervise the work of project managers responsible for the execution of 7R investments both in Poland and internationally.
  • Katarzyna Chwalbińska-Kusek has joined Savills as Associate Director and ESG & Sustainability Lead in Poland. She has been actively promoting sustainable construction principles for 15 years.
  • Cushman & Wakefield Czech Republic has promoted Lukáš Netolický from the Office team to Partner. Lukáš is Head of Regional Cities CZ at Cushman & Wakefield, leading the firm’s Brno office. His main focus is on the development of its business activities, especially in the office segment.
