Globalworth Industrial reaches 100% occupancy rate

Globalworth signed a lease with DS Smith for its second logistics park in Timisoara, a project belonging to Globalworth Industrial, its industrial and logistics sub-brand. DS Smith decided to relocate its Service Center operations from Timisoara, renting more than 6,000 sqm at the park. Following this new collaboration, the occupancy rate in all completed industrial projects under the Globalworth umbrella reached 100%.

Growing demand for industrial assets in Western Romania

The industrial property market in the western and north-western areas of Romania is growing rapidly, after the stock has doubled in just four years, becoming the second-largest market after Bucharest. Stock is expected to exceed 700,000 sqm this year, according to CBRE data. The company recently advised the lease of a total area of about 18,000 sqm of industrial space within the Timisoara Industrial Park II project, which thus became fully occupied.

Tritax buys two buildings and development land near Łódź

Tritax Eurobox plc, which invests in Continental European logistics real estate assets, has acquired two recently developed prime logistics properties and development land, positioned in the core logistics location of Strykow, near Łódź in central Poland for €51.8 million (phase I) with the potential to invest a further €15.0 million developing the adjacent phase II land. The corporate acquisition reflects a net initial yield of 6.1% (net of acquisition costs to the company) and has the potential to add value through the letting of vacant units and development of the land.

New leases

  • Expur has leased 940 sqm for its new offices in Business Garden Bucharest, owned by Vastint Romania. The deal was brokered by Fortim Trusted Advisors, a member of the BNP Paribas Real Estate Alliance.
  • GTX Romania has leased 2,700 sqm in VLParks Bucharest West, in a deal brokered by iO Partners.
  • Vitalaire Romania, a subsidiary of the Air Liquide Group, has relocated its offices to Bucharest-based One Cotroceni Park, in a deal brokered by iO Partners.

New appointments

  • Artur Apostoł joins Griffin Capital Partners as Co-Managing Partner to lead the company’s real estate activities together with Marek Obuchowicz, who has been promoted to Co-Managing Partner. Artur and Marek are taking over responsibilities from Piotr Fijołek, who transitions from an active role and will continue supporting the firm as Senior Advisor. These appointments mark the completion of a leadership transformation aligned with the company’s dynamic growth and long-term strategy.
  • CBRE Hungary has named Anna Zhang as Business Development Manager, while Antoine Fromental takes on the role of Hotel Investment Analyst. Zhang is tasked with developing partnerships with Far Eastern clients and strengthening business relations in CEE markets. She previously served on the PwC Hungary China Desk team. Fromental joins the firm after roles at B&B Hotels and Cushman & Wakefield, where he contributed to various European hotel development, valuation, and market research projects.
  • Garbe has named Zuzana Štěpánková as Business Development Manager in the Czech Republic. She has previously worked at iO Partners as Senior Consultant.
