Colliers has appointed Dávid Horváth as Head of Workplace Advisory Services in Hungary. He joined the Colliers Occupier Services team in 2015 as a workspace consultant. After a short break, he will continue as Head of Workplace Advisory Services, which has been strengthened into a strategic business unit, starting from February 2023.

Growing e-commerce facilitates increased investment in fulfilment services and generates more specialized logistics centres to build. The latest EBI Construction Activity Report, prepared by Eltinga, Buildecon, and iBuild, has found that after the weak Q3 2022, Q4 2022 saw a slight nominal expansion in activity-start in Hungarian construction. The value of started construction works was still very low; between October and December 2022 they totalled roughly HUF 650 billion.

The global developer of industrial properties intends to build more huge logistics space in its Prologis Park Budapest-Sziget II complex. More than 114,000 sqm of new space is in the pipeline in the park that is near the M0 ring road.

The new facility in Ecser, not far from the Liszt Ferenc International Airport, will offer 47,000 sqm of industrial space for local and foreign companies from 2024.

Skanska has opened the 27,000 sqm first phase of the H2Offices complex on Budapest's Váci Road office corridor. Construction of the second phase may start in H2 2023, with the third and final to be handed over in 2026 or 2027.
