Globalworth acquires two office buildings in Poland

Globalworth has completed new acquisitions of two buildings in Poland, Warsaw Trade Tower (WTT) in Warsaw and Rondo Business Park in Krakow, for c. €170 million. Including these recent additions, Globalworth’s Polish portfolio has grown to almost 500,000 sqm of GLA in office and mixed-use properties.

Globalworth’s portfolio reaches 1 million sqm

In 2018 Globalworth registered an increase of 36% in portfolio value compared to 2017, reaching €2.5 billion, split 51% in Romania and 49% in Poland. Also, during last year, the gross leasable area of the company’s combined portfolio grew with over 250,000 sqm to 1 million sqm. Following the dynamic expansion in Poland and the new developments in Romania, Globalworth’s net operating income (NOI) noted an impressive increase by over 160% and exceeded €133 million.

Globalworth announces new strategic investor

Globalworth announced that Aroundtown SA has acquired an 11.8% stake in the Company. Aroundtown is a real estate company with a focus on properties with value-add potential in central locations in top tier cities primarily in Germany and the Netherlands. With a commercial real estate portfolio worth more than €13 billion, Aroundtown is the largest and highest rated (BBB+ by S&P) commercial real estate company in Germany and the 4th largest in Europe (based on market cap of €8.6 billion).

Globalworth completes Renault’s new Bucharest HQ

One and a half years after starting work on the site in the western part of Bucharest, Globalworth has finalised the construction of Renault Bucharest Connected (RBC). The project includes 40,000 sqm of Class A offices, served by an underground level with approximately 240 parking spaces, with a further 760 spaces outdoors. Renault Bucharest Connected includes an 8,000 sqm design centre, and the employees who work there will benefit not only from a 350 seat amphitheatre but also other facilities such as a restaurant, gym and a medical office.

Globalworth internalises PM of Polish assets

Globalworth Poland has taken further steps to manage its Polish real estate portfolio in-house. Between December and January, the company took on the property management of Lumen and Skylight in Warsaw, West Gate in Wrocław, the A4 Business Park in Katowice and Tryton Business House in Gdańsk. Since the company entered the market, Globalworth has gradually internalized the property management of a series of buildings and now handles directly 250,000 sqm in only about one year, which constitutes almost 60% of its portfolio in Poland.

Globalworth gets two Bucharest buildings certified

Tower 1 and Tower 2, the first two office buildings of the Globalworth Campus project in Bucharest, have been awarded BREEAM certificates with a rating of 'Excellent'. The certification recognizes the high standards of sustainability and the healthy working environment of the 57,000 sqm of Class A office space in the complex located in the northern part of the city.

New leases

  • Schibsted & Vend Polska, a technology hub developing digital platforms, has extended its lease for 2,500 sqm of office space at the High5ive complex in Cracow. Walter Herz supported the tenant in the deal.
  • Pasaż Grunwaldzki signed 43 lease agreements in 2025 covering approximately 6,400 sqm, representing 13% of the property's total area. The shopping centre, owned by EPP, extended partnerships with 31 tenants, including MediaMarkt (operating in its new Xpress format), Deichmann, Medicine, home&you, and DOUGLAS. Twelve additional agreements were signed with brands making their debut in the project.
  • ConvergenCE has secured new lease agreements totaling 800 sqm at Budapest-based Kálvin Square. California Coffee Company extended its ground-floor lease, while a major Asian airline established a new office on the first floor. Hypo-Bank Burgenland is set to move into the eighth floor in April 2026. Additionally, Dutch media and rights management firm CAM Magyar will occupy the ninth floor starting February 2026.

New appointments

  • Joanna Leńkowska has been appointed as Workthere Lead at Savills Poland, taking over the role from Thomas Jodar. Leńkowska brings five years of experience in the flexible office sector to the team, having previously worked with WeWork and CitySpace.
  • CTP Romania has appointed Diane-Monique Forrest as Business Developer. She will focus on leasing activities in Transylvania, covering key cities such as Timișoara, Arad, Sibiu, and Deva.
  • iO Partners has announced the appointment of Róbert Cesnek as Head of Capital Markets in Slovakia, effective from January 2026. In his new role, he will focus on further strengthening market presence, advising clients on complex investment decisions and delivering high-impact transactions across asset classes.
