Czech development company Logport plans to develop key urban infrastructure in Jinočany near Prague. The first project of the company there will be the commercial and industrial complex Logport Prague West which should be completed in one year, the company announced.

The new logistics park Contera Ostrava D1 is being built on an area of 350,000 sqm in Ostrava-Hrušov. The first two completed buildings are already fully leased. The project, which was launched in autumn 2020 at an estimated total cost of over €118 million, is being built on a former brownfield site and includes one of the largest and most modern industrial halls in the Czech Republic, Contera announced.

Skanska Residential is planning to include rental housing in its multi-phase projects in the Czech Republic as an additional product to its standard offer. However, the company mainly wants to focus on building homes in Prague for long-term living. Property Forum talked to Petr Michálek, CEO of Skanska Residential.

The largest rooftop solar power plant in the Czech Republic is to be built on a manufacturing campus in Tachov in the Plzeň Region. The estimated investment is almost €9.17 million, the Urbanity Real Estate Group announced.

The volume of investments in commercial real estate reached a total value of €368 million in the Czech real estate market in Q3 2022. Most of the investment transactions were mainly in the office and retail segments. Czech investors were the most active investors in this period. Several big new hotels are to be open in Prague in the next few years. Most of them will be operated by multinational chains and most of them will be the reconstructions of historical sites, except only two new of them that are planned by Penta Investments. A neglected plot of land in Prague 5 has now been newly acquired for billions of crowns by Austrian developer UBM. It plans to build 150 flats there. It wants to start building next year, but the project is still in the planning process. The developer has not disclosed the purchase price, the seller or the details of the construction, writes E15.cz.
