After acquiring nearly 93% of stocks of Polnord listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Cordia is one of the first companies to launch a new residential project in Poland following the alleviation of the pandemic. The company has started the presale of more than 200 homes being built in its first project in Gdańsk. Hungary’s leading residential developer is also active in Poznań, where it is preparing its largest-ever Polish residential investment with a large-scale urban rehabilitation. For the company, the Polish market is particularly important as it proved to be stable even during the years of the global crisis in 2008-2009.

Cordia International raised its stake in Polnord S.A. to 92.92% in a tender offer. Following the transaction, the shareholders elected a new supervisory board with representatives from Cordia.

Hungarian residential developer Cordia is introducing a new, secure, online service that covers the entire home buying process, including virtual viewing and remote contract signing.

Cordia International is continuing its international expansion. Following Romania, Poland and Spain, the developer is entering the German rental housing market through the acquisition of a 20.6% stake in ARGO Properties N.V. for €34.4 million.

Hungary-based developers Futureal Group and Cordia have decided to donate €700,000 (HUF 250 million) to the fight against COVID-19. The directors of the company will decide on the usage of the funds shortly,

Cordia International announced a public tender offer on 14 February 2020 to buy the remaining approximately 34.34% of the shares in Polnord S.A., which is not owned by Cordia International currently.

Cordia has successfully acquired 63.7 million shares of Polnord, one of the largest development companies in Poland. Transaction worth €31.7 million provided the Hungarian founded developer with a control stock of shares exceeding 65% in the increased capital.

Hungarian residential developer Cordia  has carried out a successful bond issue on 5 November (Cordia 2026/I). The financial settlement date is 7 November 2019, the maturity is 7 November 2026. The offered volume was HUF 40 billion at face value which attracted HUF 53.55 billion in bids. The amount of funds raised is HUF 44.4 billion.

Cordia continues to expand in Poland: after Warsaw, Krakow and Gdansk, Hungary’s leading apartment developer has entered the market of Sopot, the seaside resort as well, planning to build on the street named after the Polish-Hungarian Friendship Day. With this, the company – having already completed more than 1000 apartments – plans to build some 2600 additional homes across 17 projects in the promising market of the four Polish cities over the following four years.

Cordia is now increasing its capital exports and foreign investments. In addition to the Romanian and Polish market, the company also has presence in Spain with a pilot project. All of this fits into Cordia’s strategy to become a dominant property developer at European level, while maintaining Hungary's key role in the company’s operation.
