The fourth quarter was one of the best in recent history, with property deals in Romania at €342 million, compared to €40 million in the same period of last year, according to real estate consultancy Colliers. The overall investment transactions volumes edged close to €900 million, which is roughly similar to the result of 2020. 

Colliers advised Bosch Termotechnika s.r.o., an international manufacturer of heating and hot water heating equipment, in the sale of its industrial manufacturing facility in Město Albrechtice, located in the Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic close to the Polish border.

The post-pandemic times are bringing many changes in the demands and expectations of clients. There is also a strong demand for better tools and resources. Therefore the Colliers Czech Republic appointed a new Head of the Industrial and Investment teams.

Last year the number of new green buildings and the "greening" of existing ones continued to grow dynamically in Budapest, Colliers reports.

Property group NEPI Rockcastle, the biggest owner of shopping centres in Romania, has purchased a land plot of 17 hectares Galați for an undisclosed sum.

Investment transactions on the Romanian real estate market could exceed the €1 billion threshold this year, considering the projects in various stages of negotiation, according to Colliers.  At present, there are several transactions in the pipeline worth at least €100 million each, and others are ready to go on the market

Tatra Asset Management has acquired the Hexagon retail park in Žarnovice, Central Slovakia from Hexagon Retail s.r.o. The new owner of the Hexagon retail park with an area of 3,600 sqm is a real estate fund managed by Tatra Asset Management, which with this acquisition has expanded its portfolio to 11 retail parks operated under the Lipa Park brand.
