Pavăl Holding, the investment vehicle of the Pavăl family and majority shareholder of Dedeman, has signed an exclusive negotiation agreement with Carrefour Group to acquire its Romanian operations. This step marks the group's expansion into a new strategic segment: food retail.

A retail park is being developed on the site of the former Glinki shopping centre in Bydgoszcz, with opening planned for Q1 2026. The project, developed by Redkom Development, will initially have 16,000 sqm GLA. A second phase is planned to add another 4,000 sqm GLA. The investor is Newgate Investment.

Redkom Development has acquired the existing Glinki shopping centre from Carrefour Polska and, in partnership with Newgate Investment, has commenced the development of a new retail park. The facility, to be built on the site of the former shopping centre, will become the largest retail park in Bydgoszcz.

French retailer Carrefour is in the final negotiation stage to fully purchase Cora’s retail network in Romania and the transaction will be signed later this day, according to ZF.ro. 

Property investment group NEPI Rockcastle will open its new Promenada Craiova shopping centre this October, following an investment of more than €125 million. The project will include more than 150 stores and will create over 1,500 jobs in the city based in southern Romania. 

Property developer P3 Logistics Parks has completed a new accommodation building spanning 2,000 sqm for the staff employed in the P3 Bucharest A1 logistics park near Bucharest. 

Panattoni has started its third BTS project for French supermarket chain Carrefour. The investment, which has an area of ​​50,000 sqm, is under development in Będzin in Silesia. The height of the facility will reach as much as 13 m, while more than 13,000 sqm is to be used as a technologically-advanced cold store. The project is to be built to BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification standards, while the developer will also create more than 5,000 sqm of green roofs.  

Carrefour Romania renewed its leasing contract with P3 for approximately 85,000 sqm in P3 Bucharest A1, making it one of the largest deals on the local logistics market. CBRE Romania assisted P3 in this deal. 

Panattoni Europe has laid the cornerstone for the largest logistics centre of Carrefour Poland in the country. It is going to be a BTS facility featuring in excess of 63,600 sqm. The project will be delivered in Central Poland in Rawa Mazowiecka. Completion of construction works is anticipated towards the end of 2019.

Carrefour has once again opted for WDP as its real estate partner for two new WDP sites in Romania (namely in Deva and in Brazi), totalling a surface of around 80,000 sqm. Both development projects represent an investment volume of around €40 million.
