A retail park is being developed on the site of the former Glinki shopping centre in Bydgoszcz, with opening planned for Q1 2026. The project, developed by Redkom Development, will initially have 16,000 sqm GLA. A second phase is planned to add another 4,000 sqm GLA. The investor is Newgate Investment.

"The retail park is being built in a location where retail has existed for many years. We are now creating completely new quality, from architecture to the retail offer. Importantly, this area lacks modern retail space and the new park has a huge chance to change the retail landscape and revitalise the southern part of Bydgoszcz," says Sebastian Paciorek, Senior Leasing Manager at Redkom Development.

The project targets the growing expectations of residents from the dynamically developing southern districts of the city and people living in suburban areas of Bydgoszcz. The new retail park, called Comfy Park Bydgoszcz, will offer a diversified shopping and service mix, creating a convenient one-stop shopping destination for different age groups.

"Comfy Park Bydgoszcz is a very good example of repositioning former retail locations and delivering new quality properties that meet the basic needs of local communities. A large-format Carrefour store will continue to operate at the location, but on modern premises," says Robert Dudziński, Head of Asset Management at Newgate Investment.

Comfy Park Bydgoszcz will feature chain stores including Tedi, Rossmann, Jysk, Media Expert, Xtreme Fitness, Maxi Zoo, Sinsay, Woolworth, Żabka and Dr Materac. A modern Carrefour store will operate on over 4,000 sqm. The project will ultimately include around 20 retail and service units. Between 2023-2025, Redkom Development opened four similar projects with total GLA exceeding 60,000 sqm.
