Sierra Balmain is expanding its portfolio with another shopping mall. Starting in April, the company will take over property management of Galeria Pomorska in Bydgoszcz. The group will handle all the ongoing operations of the facility.

As of April 1st, 2023, Galeria Pomorska in Bydgoszcz joins the portfolio of properties managed by Sierra Balmain. The company will be responsible for all aspects of the centre’s operations, including asset management, operational management, financial matters, lease management, and marketing activities.

“We have been active in the commercial real estate market for over 20 years, providing a wide range of services and working towards achieving our strategic goal: to provide our partners with comfort and peace of mind about their investments. We have specialized teams, extensive know-how, and years of experience in managing a diverse range of properties. The new contract shows trust in what we have built. It is also another step in our methodical development”, says Aleksandra Mazzini, Chief Operating Officer of Sierra Balmain.

With this new mandate to manage Galeria Pomorska, Sierra Balmain has increased the managed area to 425,000 square meters of GLA. The company’s portfolio currently consists of 18 properties, including multifunctional shopping and entertainment centres, retail parks, convenience centres, logistic parks, and mixed-use properties.

“We will leverage our knowledge and experience to strengthen the position achieved by Galeria Pomorska – a place highly valued by local residents for shopping, services, and entertainment. As with every property, we will approach the shopping centre holistically, striving to maximize its potential and constantly looking for further opportunities for its development. Understanding the current market realities, new trends, as well as the expectations of today’s consumers, we are also working on modern solutions that we aim to implement during our new collaboration”, said Dorota Suchodolska, Director, Head of Operations at Sierra Balmain.

Galeria Pomorska was opened in April 2003 and expanded in September of 2015. Currently, the facility occupies 40,000 square meters. The mall’s tenants include stores of both foreign and Polish brands, such as H&M, Sinsay, Reserved, Vistula, Ryłko, Apart, Smyk, 4F, Martes Sport, RTV Euro AGD, and Rossmann, as well as service points, dining options, and a modern cinema operated by the Helios chain.

Sierra Balmain is one of the independent real estate advisory firms in the Central and Eastern European market. The company’s recent transactions include the partial commercialization of Blue City in Warsaw, the commercialization of service premises in NREP residential estates in Warsaw, and the notable sale of the largest shopping centre in Poland, Europa Centralna, to the Mitiska REIM fund.
