Panattoni has acquired financing for the development of its latest development in Western Pomerania. The €20 million loan was granted by mBank. Panattoni Park Szczecin V will comprise 30,000 sqm of which around a third has already been leased to a client from the food and hospitality sector.

”Because of its strategic location and its well-developed infrastructure, the Western Pomeranian region is one of the key emerging markets in the country. Panattoni has already delivered almost 800,000 sqm of modern industrial space there and the company is continuing to grow its portfolio. We are pleased that mBank has seen the potential of our latest project in Szczecin and has granted us a loan for its development. We value our long-standing cooperation with mBank and we are pleased to meet the expectations of financial institutions. We deliver the highest quality warehousing space that will meet the expectations of our clients and will also meet the criteria of sustainable development and increasingly addresses the challenges of the EU taxonomy,” says Karina Trojańska, Chief Financing & Operating Officer w Panattoni. For the Szczecin investment, an LCA analysis and a climate and flood risk assessment for the next 50 years were conducted, among other things. The building was also designed with the possibility of changing its purpose in the future in mind.

Specialist food firm Bidfood Farutex has leased over 8,600 sqm in the future park, to ensure it has the appropriate space to store and distribute food products, including refrigeration and freezer facilities.

Panattoni Park Szczecin V is located around 20 minutes from both the centre of Szczecin and the German border. This will allow the park to be used for logistics, e-commerce, warehousing and light production. As part of the developer’s standard, the centre will be certified under BREEAM with a rating of Excellent.
