MLP Poznań witnessed a foundation stone laying ceremony for a new project to be developed for HAVI Logistics. Once completed, the new facility – comprising 16,000 sqm of space – is scheduled for handover at the beginning of the second half of 2024. The project contracted to WPIP Construction, will undergo a BREEAM New Construction certification of ‘Excellent’.

The MLP Poznań logistics centre is set for expansion with the addition of a new warehouse facility. The foundation stone for this development was laid last Thursday. Custom-designed for Havi Logistics, a global company that optimises and manages the supply chains of leading brands, the project will deliver 16,000 sqm of space. Over 15,500 sqm will be designated for warehousing purposes, including cold and freezer storage, while modern office and staff amenity areas, spanning two floors, will utilise the remaining 680 sqm.

The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by representatives of the general contractor, the tenant and the project owner. MLP Group, the owner of the park in Poznań, was represented by CEO and President of the Management Board Radosław T. Krochta. Representing WPIP Construction, engaged as the general contractor, was its CEO Janusz Signetzki, while the tenant was represented by Katarzyna Piątkowska, Managing Director at HAVI Logistics Sp. z o.o. The completed space is slated for handover early in the latter part of 2024.

“The new project is being custom-built for our long-time tenant. We’re very happy to expand the scope of this existing relationship. We’re committed to having all newly constructed facilities BREEAM certified. Simultaneously, we prioritise occupant comfort at our logistics park by incorporating advanced solutions that enhance functionality and environmental sustainability. This approach is appreciated by tenants, who choose our warehouse spaces as long-term business locations”, said Radosław T. Krochta, CEO of MLP Group S.A.

“Our new Distribution Centre in Poznań marks a significant development milestone for HAVI and the customers we serve. The purpose-built facility has been designed to ensure optimal working conditions, directly enhancing the quality of our services. Positioned strategically in Poznań, the Centre will play a pivotal role within our supply chain, facilitating streamlined and efficient logistics processes. Beyond being a warehouse, it will serve as a comprehensive, modern and – primarily – environmentally sustainable space, facilitating more projects within our strategy of sustainable development”, said Katarzyna Piątkowska, Managing Director at HAVI Logistics in Poland.

“We value our ongoing collaboration with MLP Group S.A., a prominent player in the warehouse space market. It's a privilege to be part of yet another project, expanding the well-functioning logistics park in the Poznań region with a commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment,” added Janusz Signetzki, CEO of WPIP Construction.

The facilities currently under development at MLP Poznań will achieve the BREEAM New Construction environmental certification of ‘Excellent’. The new project will be equipped with solar PV panels, heat pumps, electric vehicle charging stations and other amenities.

MLP Poznań is located in Koninko, near the S11 expressway connecting Poznań and Katowice. The park is situated approximately 16 km from the centre of Poznań and 4 km from the A2 motorway. Ultimately, it will provide almost 90,000 sqm of warehouse and production space to be built on an area of 20 ha.
