JTRE has submitted project documentation to Bratislava City Hall, requesting a statement on the investment plan in the location next to Eurovea on the Danube embankment. The project has been designed with a dominating 220 m skyscraper, reports yimba.sk.
Although the height of 220 meters is significantly lower than the originally announced 260 metres, it is still an impressive number. As Michal Dutka, Spokesman at JTRE, informed: “The decision to build one high-rise building is the result of thorough internal analyses of the project from several angles – economic, in terms of the length and complexity of the permitting processes, construction and technical, as well as in terms of the expected development of future market needs.”
The skyscraper will be oriented to maximise views and daylight, using the grid design principle. At the base of the building, a pavilion with services and a pergola will be created, preventing the negative effects of the wind. The remaining floors will contain high-end apartments. The exact number of residences is not known, but it will probably be several hundred.
It is not known when the planned skyscraper will be implemented. At the time of the presentation of the competition results, the developer did not expect to start construction before 2030.
