Diófa Fund Management invests in retail

Diófa Fund Management has announced the purchase of Europark shopping centre in Budapest from Unibail Rodamco. The acquisition is a result of a one year long and constructive cooperation between the parties and was entirely funded by own capital. Due to new investment fund restrictions it is highly possible that this was the first and last shared deal on the market.

HB Reavis and HB Reavis CE REIF sell large logistics portfolio

HB Reavis Group and HB Reavis CE REIF fund have jointly sold for €79 million a 132,000 sqm portfolio of logistics centres in the Czech Republic and Slovakia to Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, part of the Macquarie Group, one of the largest global investment banking and diversified financial services groups in the world. The fully-occupied portfolio consists of 2 assets owned by HB Reavis Group and 2 assets held by HBR CE REIF.

OTP REIT acquires 35,000 sqm logistics property in Hungary

Within two months OTP Real Estate Investment Fund has already added the second logistics property to its portfolio. The 35,000 sqm warehouse complex is located in South-Pest, within the Gyál Business Park, near the M5 motorway and several multinational companies. The transaction is part of OTP Real Estate Investment Fund Management’s ongoing portfolio development, therefore further transactions can be expected in 2016.

Immofinanz sells 18.5 million BUWOG shares

Immofinanz today sold approx. 18.5 million BUWOG shares to SAPINDA Group, a company located in Amsterdam, London and Luxembourg. The price of EUR 19.00 per share – for a total of approx. EUR 352 million – is 3.5% higher than yesterday’s closing price of EUR 18.36.

Cushman & Wakefield Hospitality have been appointed by Cube Sp. z o.o. to sell the 4-star Mercure Sepia Hotel located in Bydgoszcz, Poland. The property was opened in December 2014 as a new hotel, combining a historical building dated late 19th century and a new building.

Globalworth closes landmark transaction in Romania

Globalworth Real Estate Investments has signed an agreement to offer real estate secured bonds worth a total of 180 million euros. 150 million euros will be subscribed by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and the remaining 30 million euros by funds managed by Cairn Capital (“Cairn”).

New leases

  • CPI Property Group has relocated its headquarters to the Warsaw Financial Centre. The legal, technical, marketing and PR teams will take up close to 800 sqm of office space.
  • German medical furniture manufacturer Stiegelmeyer has leased 3,600 sqm of warehouse space in GLP Toruń, which will be used as the company’s European distribution hub.
  • The women's underwear manufacturer Agio Milano has decided to rent 800 sqm of warehouse space in a private investment located near Ożarów Mazowiecki near Warsaw. AXI IMMO was responsible for negotiations on behalf of the tenant.

New appointments

  • The Board of 7R has appointed Katarzyna Dorocińska to the position of Head of Marketing and Communications. Katarzyna's main responsibilities will include the creation and implementation of a new marketing and communication strategy for the 7R brand.
  • Bartłomiej Krzyżak, formerly Director in the Investment Department, has been promoted to Senior Director at Avison Young. Bartłomiej has been at Avison Young from the very beginning of the company’s entry into the Polish market. He has 12 years of professional experience gained also in CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield and Savills.
  • Roman Babic has joined CBRE's Zagreb corporate office as Property Manager within the Property Management department.
