Hungary’s Wing to acquire majority interest in Echo Investment

Hungarian investor and developer Wing has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire majority interest (c.a. 56% of shares) in Echo Investment, a Polish developer listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Echo Investment has almost 90 projects in the pipeline, with the total estimated usable area of c.a. 1.3 million sqm.

CPI plans to acquire over €800 million worth of offices in Warsaw

Three banks provide €230 million refinancing for Warsaw Spire Tower

Helaba, Berlin Hyp and pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank have jointly underwritten an investment facility totalling €230 million to refinance Warsaw Spire Tower. The asset is owned by Immofinanz. The financing transaction closed in September 2019. Helaba, Berlin Hyp and pbb are acting as joint lead arrangers providing equal portions of the funding, with Helaba acting as facility and security agent of the transaction.

Uniqa buys Kraków office building

IMS Budownictwo has completed the sale process of Building A of the Zabłocie Business Park in Kraków. A company from the Austrian insurance group Uniqa became the office property’s new owner. The final agreement was signed on September 12th, with the transaction amounting to nearly €30 million. Knight Frank acted on behalf of the seller.

Warburg-HIH Invest buys multi-tenant property in Prague

The office building with its gross lettable area of 19,000 square metres and another 1,300 square metres of patio space is earmarked for the individual fund of a German investor. White Star Real Estate buys office complex in Cluj-Napoca

White Star Real Estate and its partner, an investment fund of a major US university have completed the acquisition of Liberty Technology Park Cluj from Fribourg Development, the real estate division of Fribourg Capital. Liberty Technology Park comprises 18,000 sqm of former industrial buildings. The five Class A office buildings are BREEAM certified. Located north of the city, the park has a number of IT&C and R&D tenants, such as Siemens, IBM, Majorel and Altran.

New leases

  • Footwear brand Crocs is opening its first location in the North-East region in Palas, as well as in the upcoming Rivus project in Cluj-Napoca, both projects developed by Iulius.
  • WeNet, an online marketing company, has relocated its Gdańsk office to the multifunctional Garnizon complex, owned by the Hossa Investment Group. The organisation has taken up more than 450 square meters of office space in the GATO office building.
  • Perfume chain Douglas has signed a lease agreement for nearly 1,000 sqm of office and logistics space at CTPark Budapest Office Campus, which is located in the heart of the city.

New appointments

  • Avison Young has announced several promotions within its Poland operations. In the Valuation and Advisory department, Agnieszka Bogucka and Marta Marat have both been promoted to Senior Valuer. In the Investment Advisory department, Artur Czuba has been promoted to Director. The Office Agency department has promoted Filip Filipowicz to Senior Consultant. In the Technical Advisory department, Kamil Olechniewicz has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. Additionally, Renata Zielińska took the position of Senior Consultant in the Investment department.
  • Tryton Business House in Gdańsk will welcome a new tenant. Państwowe Gospodarstwo Wodne Wody Polskie will occupy 3,092 sqm of office space in the complex owned by Globalworth. Cushman & Wakefield represented the institution in the lease process.
  • G City Europe is strengthening its development competences. Piotr Myszka has joined the company, taking up the position of Head of Development.
