Logistics developer VGP is committed to further implementing comprehensive and sustainable measures along its sustainability strategy in the next years to achieve carbon neutrality by 2025. To this end, the company has now set itself new targets.

Panattoni is to deliver a dedicated facility for TJX Europe - the owner of the TK Maxx brand and a leading off-price clothing and homeware retailer. The 61,135 sqm distribution centre will be located in Sulechów, Western Poland. This facility will help to supply products to TK Maxx shops in Poland, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. Real estate advisory firm Cresa represented TJX Europe in the transaction.

The growing maturity of the Polish industrial real estate sector is directing investor attention towards urban logistics properties. According to data from JLL and SEGRO, available investment land and the possibility to extend existing parks in the eight largest agglomerations allow for the development of up to 4 million sqm which could meet the increase in demand.

Fortress REIT, one of the largest developers in South Africa and the majority shareholder of NEPI Rockcastle, buys with €30 million the warehouses built by the owners Dedeman and Ionuț Dumitrescu in Chitila, according to Economica.net.

Panattoni has launched the construction of Panattoni Park Zgorzelec, which will comprise ​​approx. 70,000 sqm. This is the developer’s latest 3 PL investment near the Polish-German border. The first tenant has already been secured for the park – ID Logistics, which will occupy 44,500 sqm for its e-commerce operations. Panattoni has also announced that the project will be BREEAM certified at the ‘Excellent’ level.

CTP is starting the construction of 80,000 sqm in Vecsés, a strategic location near Budapest Airport. With the market-leading 250,000 sqm under development in Hungary and high demand of the logistics and industrial space due to its large undersupply in the entire CEE region, CTP will reach the target of a 1 million sqm portfolio in the country already by the end of 2022, a year ahead of the originally projected forecast. CEE’s largest industrial developer already manages 10 parks in the size of 520,000 sqm in the country.

CATTED Business Park Chitila, the first industrial park developed exclusively for SMEs, was rented 100% in six months. The project has a total area of ​​7,500 sqm.

Panattoni is to provide space for the production of Paczkomat® parcel lockers for InPost and is also to construct an R&D centre for the company. The Paczkomat® factory is being built as part of the newly established City Logistics Kraków Airport park. It will take up 7,230 sqm and will be fitted with solar panels.

European warehouse property developer MLP Group is set to build a BTS facility for a European logistics operator. The tenant was assisted by a team of specialists from JLL during the transaction.

The NIPÜF Group has opened two new warehouse units in the industrial park of Páty, near Budapest. The tenant for the facility, now expanded to 23,000 sqm, is Waberer’s-Szemerey Logisztika Kft.
