The first big tenant has moved into the first completed unit of the HelloParks industrial and logistics megapark located in Maglód, next to Budapest. FoxPost, the operator of the largest parcel locker chain of Hungary, has leased an area of 8,400 sqm and already started the installation of its new parcel sorting machines. With this investment of €1.5 million, FoxPost’s daily parcel sorting capacity will be increased by nearly tenfold.

HelloParks, member of the Futureal Group has met the agreed deadline and handed over the first phase of the first warehouse in its industrial and logistics megapark in Maglód last week. The construction of the 46,000 sqm building began only five months ago, this March. FoxPost, the first major tenant of HelloParks has already moved into the warehouse. The parcel logistics company operating more than 240 parcel locker machines nationwide is installing its parcel sorting machines in the leased 8,400 sqm facility. The special feature of the building that it could be the first Hungarian industrial facility to qualify for BREEAM New Construction Excellent sustainability certification in Hungary.

“The new warehouse is an important milestone for FoxPost: our new facility is the third-largest central warehouse building among the domestic market players, which will serve our entire national network, which will consist of over a thousand parcel locker machines by 2024. The move was necessary due to the dynamic growth in our turnover, as we are planning to grow by more than 40 percent this year compared to last year's record. In the new warehouse, we will switch to a fully automated parcel sorting system with an investment of €1.5 million. With the new system we increase our daily capacity by nearly ten times, which means we can manage up to 100,000 packages a day,” said Ádám Bengyel, CEO of FoxPost.

“We are pleased our first tenant is an innovative, environmentally conscious, fast-growing company like FoxPost. We are also experiencing very strong interest from other potential tenants, we are in advanced negotiations for all our vacancies and our next tenant will be moving in soon. At the same time we have already started the planning and authorization processes of the next buildings so that we can meet the needs of our existing and future client’s needs as quickly as possible,” said Rudolf Nemes, CEO of HelloParks.

HelloParks is developing a total of 193,000 sqm of warehouse, light industrial and office space on the plot along the ring road M0, near the M4 and M5 motorways and the Budapest Airport. The investment value of the first phase’s 46,000 sqm facility exceeds €40 million.

HelloParks is also developing in other important locations in the vicinity of Budapest: the company is building one of the largest (76 hectares) industrial and logistical centres of the country in Fót, where a total of 330,000 sqm of storage and industrial space is available. At Páty, on a 100 hectares plot, HelloParks will create a modern warehouse and production area in several phases with a gross leasable area of 400,000 sqm.
