Castorama, Poland's largest chain of home improvement stores, selling construction and finishing products online and in 90 brick and mortar stores across the country, will move to 7R Park Łódź East I. The total area that the tenant will occupy is more than 36,000 sqm. In the lease process, Castorama was advised by JLL.

The building in 7R Park Łódź East I complex, designed for Castorama's operations, consists of warehouse space of over 35,300 sqm and an office area of 770 sqm. The tenant will start its operations in the facility in February 2022.

"This modern logistics centre in the heart of Poland, which is in close proximity to a road infrastructure that provides excellent connections to the entire country, is a guarantee of increased efficiency and effectiveness of transport and storage processes. The investment gives us the possibility of realizing advanced logistic needs related to Castorama Poland’s key projects. Thanks to this project, we can be sure to guarantee even faster delivery, which will undoubtedly translate into better service and increased customer satisfaction", says Wojciech Gondek, Supply Chain and Logistics Director at Castorama Poland.

The location of 7R Park Łódź East I, adjacent to an A1 highway interchange, is convenient for international, domestic, and local transport logistics. There are public transportation services close to the facility, which also ensures comfortable commuting for employees.

"Łódź is a strategic location for us. So far, we have built three large logistics parks and two smaller warehouses from our 7R City Flex Last Mile Logistics chain in the area. I am glad that the advantages of 7R investment in Łódź have been appreciated by Castorama, and that the leader in Poland’s DIY sector, is joining 7R Park Łódź East I’s clients. The location and quality of our warehouses guarantee efficient and safe operations", adds Maciej Krawiecki, Head of Leasing at 7R.

7R Park Łódź East I is a warehouse park consisting of three buildings with a total area of about 100,000 sqm. It is located in the eastern outskirts of the city, in the immediate vicinity of the Brzeziny highway interchange. All warehouses in 7R Park Łódź East I meet Class A building standards.

"We are delighted that once again Castorama, a leader in its sector, has entrusted us with obtaining the optimal solution for its warehouse facilities in Central Poland. In view of the rapidly changing dynamics in the industrial market on both the demand and supply sides, resilient cooperation is a crucial factor. Castorama was looking for space that would be available at short notice and this required strong commitment and a flexible approach from all parties. The modern 7R Park Łódź East I facility met the tenant's expectations not only in terms of deadlines and quality requirements but also with regard to its excellent geographical location. We warmly congratulate Castorama on yet another step in its successful expansion policy", says Paulina Dziubińska, Senior Director w JLL.
