Borne Furniture, a manufacturer of tabletops, shelving units and other furniture components, has leased 4,050 sqm of warehouse space at MLP Gorzów Wielkopolski. The tenant was represented by Newmark Polska. A key factor in the decision was the immediate availability of the space, with the company already operational in the completed building.
Borne Furniture specialises in large-scale production of lightweight honeycomb board constructions. It is part of the German family-owned KMBT GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Trierweiler, which has manufactured doors and door frames in Western Europe for over 60 years. In Poland, the company has operated since 1998, accelerating its growth after forming a long-term partnership with IKEA in 2000.
"More and more companies are looking not only for an attractive location and quality warehouse space, but also for the opportunity to start operations without delay. By maintaining a pool of ready-to-occupy warehouse modules across our key logistics parks, we can offer an attractive solution for businesses that cannot or do not wish to wait for a new development to be completed," said Tomasz Pietrzak, Leasing Director Poland at MLP Group. "The proximity of our production facility and the possibility of commencing operations immediately were the key factors behind our decision," added Andrzej Behrendt, Member of the Management Board of Borne Furniture. Patryk Podgórski, Senior Advisor at Newmark Polska, noted: "Our client chose MLP Gorzów Wielkopolski primarily because of its close proximity to the company's headquarters and a tailored offer."
MLP Gorzów Wielkopolski will provide approximately 40,000 sqm of warehouse space upon completion. All buildings are certified under the BREEAM New Construction scheme at the Excellent level. The park is located in the western part of Gorzów Wielkopolski, around 9 km from the city centre, adjacent to the S3 expressway interchange, 53 km from the German border and approximately 135 km from Berlin.
