SPM Poland, a member of the BCUBE Poland Group, has joined MLP Wrocław as its new tenant. The logistics operator has leased in total more than 15,000 sqm of modern space, with the first unit already completed. Construction of another facility is about to commence, and the building is slated for handover in the first quarter of next year.

The logistics operator has leased in total over 15,000 sqm of space at the MLP Wrocław logistics centre. The first unit spanning close to 5,700 sqm has already been completed and handed over to the tenant. The unit will be used by BCUBE Poland entirely for storage purposes. At the same time, MLP Group has commenced construction of another facility to deliver another 9,500 sqm or so of space leased under the contract, of which some 100 sqm will be office space.

The general contractor on the project is W.P.I.P., a company providing design and general contractor services for warehouse, manufacturing and office space projects that use solutions meeting high environmental standards. MLP Group works with W.P.I.P on other logistics centre development projects.

"Another project developed with MLP Group is a sign of our mutual trust and respect. The spirit of partnership that guides our collaboration enables us to overcome every challenge. Sustainable construction and cutting-edge green solutions are our common goal. As a general contractor, we know how vital it is to comprehensively respond to the needs of our clients so that the entire construction process and later use of the facilities are satisfactory to all parties involved", said Janusz Signetzki, Vice President of the Management Board of W.P.I.P.

"Our logistics centre MLP Wrocław is being developed in line with the principles of sustainable construction, as confirmed by the awarded certificates that assess the environmental performance of buildings. We install rooftop solar panels in pursuit of our strategic goal of achieving a zero carbon footprint. All our solutions are strongly appreciated by potential tenants and are often the decisive factor in selecting our logistics centres. We are very pleased to have signed a contract with a new tenant. With the new unit ready, we were able to immediately hand over the completed space to the tenant. Construction of the remaining space is about to start soon, and it will be handed over to the client early next year", said Tomasz Pietrzak, Leasing Director Poland at MLP Group S.A.

MLP Wrocław is a complex developed on a 13-hectare plot. It will comprise six warehouse units with a target area of 63,234 sqm. Selected buildings have been awarded the BREEAM certificate. The logistics park is located within the Psie Pole district in the north-eastern part of Wrocław, just 14 km from the city centre and in close proximity of national road E67 and express road S8 linking Wrocław with Warsaw.

‘From the perspective of our sales strategy for the coming years, Wrocław is definitely one of the most strategic regions. This investment will allow us to secure space for the future growth of our business, opening up new and wider opportunities for us to strengthen BCUBE’s position in western Poland. The new facility will also be a major asset reflecting our commitment to meeting international standards in green logistics, ensuring efficiency gains and lower CO2 emissions,’ stressed Simone Grasso, Managing Director of BCUBE Poland.
