MLP Group has signed a long-term lease agreement with a Chinese manufacturer of automotive parts, which, as part of its global nearshoring strategy, will lease 23,000 sqm of modern warehouse and office space at the MLP Poznań West logistics centre. Construction of the facility will begin in the early fourth quarter of 2024, the handover is planed for the second quarter of 2025. The new building will meet the highest environmental standards, to be confirmed by BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification.

The new partner has contracted 23,000 sqm of modern space at the MLP Poznań West logistics park, with approximately 1,000 sqm allocated for office and staff amenity areas.

The building will be heated using heat pump systems, and a significant portion of its electricity demand will be covered by photovoltaic panels. The facility will undergo BREEAM certification of ‘Excellent’. Its handover is planned for the second quarter of 2025. Ultimately, it will comprise over 30,000 sqm, which means that the remaining 8,000 sqm will be developed on a speculative basis and will be available to other tenants.

“The increasing demand from Asian companies provides us with a solid foundation for further rapid growth. Establishing a partnership with a Chinese manufacturer of automotive parts is a strategic step towards implementing our vision of supporting the global nearshoring trend. Our new partner’s choice of MLP Poznań West confirms the excellent location of the centre and the highest quality of space that it offers, including in terms of meeting stringent sustainability standards. Achieving the BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification is the best proof of this”, says Agnieszka Góźdź, Member of the Management Board and Chief Development Officer of MLP Group S.A.

The logistics centre is being developed in line with the principles of sustainable construction, with the buildings featuring rooftop PV systems. In addition, infrastructure for cyclists, EV charging points and insect hotels have been built on the park’s premises. Extensive glazing has been incorporated in the office area, enhancing access to daylight and creating better working conditions for employees.

MLP Poznań West is a distribution centre located on the western side of Poznań, at the S11 expressway and only 7 km from the A2 motorway and S11 junction. The target tenant group includes primarily e-commerce, logistics, distribution and light industrial manufacturing companies. MLP Poznań West, with a planned total area of over 170,000 sqm, is a key element of the Group’s expansion strategy in the European logistics property market as well as supporting global efforts to optimise supply chains through nearshoring.
