Acting now for a greener future – Lessons from the United Nations' climate report

Diana Ürge-Vorsatz serves as Vice-Chair of Working Group III of the United Nations (UN / ONU) Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). She is also a Professor at the Central European University (CEU) in Vienna, holding a PhD from the University of California. She'll share the findings of the UN's climate report and provide valuable advice on how both companies and individuals can decrease their carbon footprint.

He'll explain where your journey starts, accounting, legislation etc. He'll move to setting goals, what you need to keep in mind when doing so. Once this is done, he'll look at how to achieve those goals. The strategies you can think of, with some practical examples.

Cities and states are committing to carbon-neutrality goals, including a shift to public transport with zero-emission vehicles. However, not everything labelled „zero-emission“ has to be „sustainable“ at the same time. The Group's ESG Manager, Lýdia Rosová will share details of their strategy and best practices to inspire others as she believes the most important part of any ESG strategy is to get started.
