Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH has appointed White Star Real Estate (WSRE) as property manager of Forum Gliwice, a retail and leisure centre in Silesia. From September 2026, WSRE takes on property management and marketing responsibilities in addition to its existing leasing role, meaning a single team now oversees all key areas of the centre's operations.
"Forum Gliwice is a mature, well-performing shopping centre with an established position in the local market. In selecting a property management partner, we were looking for a company capable not only of maintaining high standards in day-to-day operations, but also of actively supporting the delivery of the centre's long-term strategy and enhancing the value of the asset. This combination of expertise and first-hand knowledge of the asset was an important factor in our decision," said Martin Görz of Deka Immobilien's International Asset Management team.
Asset management services for Forum Gliwice are provided by Hawksworth, an independent advisory firm specialising in the European shopping centre market, which also ran the tender process on behalf of Deka Immobilien. "White Star Real Estate presented a cohesive approach encompassing all these areas. Continuity was also an important consideration, given WSRE's existing responsibility for leasing and its knowledge of the tenants and the centre's leasing situation," said Mike Holt, Co-Founder of Hawksworth.
Forum Gliwice, which opened in 2007, offers close to 43,000 sqm of space and is currently over 97% occupied. The centre hosts more than 120 shops and service outlets, a 13-screen Cinema City multiplex and 970 underground parking spaces in central Gliwice.
"Retail is an important part of White Star Real Estate's business. The total area of properties under our management across CEE now exceeds 2.4 million sqm," said Bartosz Prytułą, Managing Partner, Poland at White Star Real Estate. Justyna Williams, Associate Director, Asset and Property Management at WSRE, added that one of the team's first initiatives will be to develop a new design for the food court, describing the food and beverage offer as key to strengthening the centre's role in the life of the city.
