German developer Trei Real Estate has opened its thirtieth Vendo Park retail park in Poland. It is located in Otwock, in the south-eastern outskirts of Warsaw.

Construction work on the 9,000 sqm retail park started in September 2021. Tenants of the Vendo Park Otwock include Hebe, Media Expert, KiK, Martes Sport and Rossmann, as well as a number of brands new to this city: Netto, Maxi Zoo, Dealz, Sinsay, Action, Tedi, Smyk, Deichmann and Kaes.

"When selecting tenants, we always carefully analyse the local market and its needs. We aim to provide local residents with new brands or those that are still at a low level of saturation in a given area. There has been a significant increase in the demand for convenience shopping. The public became enamoured of retail parks during the pandemic, and their popularity continues to grow - because they allow you to quickly and efficiently purchase the products you need on a daily basis. This is reflected in the increasing number of projects in the retail park sector. This year, we plan to open at least four more retail parks, including a Vendo Park in Skarżysko-Kamienna, where we are already finishing construction", commented Jacek Wesołowski, the managing director of Trei Real Estate Poland

The Vendo Park in Otwock has been built as a €12.1 million joint investment between Trei and the investor Patron Capital. It is the second such project to be built under the JV agreement, which was signed at the end of 2021, with the first being in Chorzów. The partners plan to invest around €140 mln in the JV over the next three to five years.
