Echo Investment has completed the structural works on two office buildings within the WITA mixed-use development in central Kraków. A traditional topping-out ceremony was held to mark the milestone, with completion of the entire complex scheduled for early 2026.
WITA is being developed on the site of former military supply warehouses near Kraków’s Old Town. The complex will include five low-rise buildings with residential, office and service functions. The two Class A office buildings will offer a total of 18,000 sqm with flexible layouts, renewable energy solutions, rainwater recovery, EV charging stations and advanced building management systems.
“The topping out is a symbolic conclusion of the most demanding construction stage. Working in Kraków’s historic centre required special coordination and attention to detail. We now move to installation and finishing works, which will determine the comfort of future users,” said Marek Rajchel, Construction Director at Echo Investment.
The office buildings’ façades will be finished with red brick, referencing nearby historic sites such as the Museum of the Home Army and the former Army Supply Centre. Around 7,000 sqm of green areas will be created on the three-hectare site, with courtyards, playgrounds, walking paths and about 150 new trees. The design also integrates historic “fortress greenery” typical of 19th-century Kraków.
Echo Investment is responsible for the commercial part of the project, while Archicom oversees the residential component. All 176 apartments have already been sold, while retail units on the ground floors are being marketed for food and service tenants. The project was designed by Kraków-based practice MOFO Architekci
