Globalworth completes Green Court acquisition in Bucharest

The transaction was effected through the acquisition of 100% of the shares of SPC Epsilon Property Development Company s.r.l., the company owning the asset, for a consideration paid to Skanska of approximately €38 million.

Solid growth on the Romanian industrial market

Gross take-up on the Romanian industrial market grew by 54% in H1 2017, compared with the same period of 2016, to 350,000 sqm. According to JLL Romania, the total demand for industrial space reached 180,000 sqm in the second quarter, a comparable level with the one registered in the first quarter of this year.

Strong demand for Bucharest offices

Net take-up of office spaces in Bucharest amounted to almost 80,000 sqm in the first half of the year, which means an additional 10,000 jobs, considering that companies usually allocate for each employee 8 square meters. In total, gross take-up reached 185,000 sqm in H1 2017, a small decrease when compared to first 6 month of last year (192,000 sqm), JLL reports.

CTP agrees €76 million loan with EBRD and BCR

CTP, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and BCR announced the closing of a credit facility totalling €75.8 million, of which €36.7 million were granted by EBRD and €39.1 million by BCR. The loan will support the expansion of CTPark Bucharest West by two new warehouses totalling over 70,000 sqm. The total investment in this expansion phase will reach €108.9 million. With a total planned 600,000 sqm lettable area, CTPark Bucharest West is designed to become the biggest, as well as fastest growing industrial park in the country and the region. BCR acted as mandated lead arranger, documentation, facility and security agent.

New leases

  • Document State Enterprise, based in Kiev, has opened a branch in Poland. The administrative unit, directly cooperating with the Ukrainian government, began its operations in a 600 sq m office in Blue Office in Warsaw.
  • Medicover will open its seventh Kraków medical centre in the Brain Park office complex. The centre will occupy more than 1,500 sqm of space at its new address in an investment being developed by Echo Investment.
  • PM Group, the manufacturer and distributor of technical products and accessories for heat-insulating carpentry, has leased 2,200 sqm for a new distribution centre in ELI Park 3. The project part of the ELI Park Bucharest North West hub is developed by Element Industrial.

  • Karol Milczarski has joined the ranks of Colliers Poland experts, taking up the position of Senior Associate in the Commercial Space Department. His main task is to comprehensively support clients in the process of acquiring attractive street locations not only on high streets, but also within densely populated residential districts.
  • Danubius Hotels has appointed Andrea Róna as Group Director of Development. She has decades of experience in hotel management and development as well as asset management. The expert will be responsible for the further expansion and development of the hotel chain.
  • Cushman & Wakefield promotes Petr Markvart, Head of Landlord Representation Services in the Office Agency team, to Partner.
