YIT Slovakia to revitalize housing area in Bratislava

YIT Slovakia wants to improve and transform another abandoned area in Bratislava's Ružinov district. With the new residential complex on Hraničná Street, it wants to build on its other projects in this part of the city. In the first phase, it plans to build an apartment building with 92 flats and a hotel with 72 accommodation units, construction of which should start in 2025, the company announced.

UBM to build 63 flats in Prague resi project

Since August, UBM Development Czechia has been building and now selling the second phase of its residential project Arcus City in Prague-Reporyje. Within this phase, 63 apartments and several commercial units will be built. Developer Sekyra to pay Prague a record fee: over €22 million

The developer Sekyra Group must pay the city of Prague more than half a billion crowns (€22 million) for the construction of public spaces in its new residential project on Prague's Rohanský island, according to new rules for private investors. Investment fund of former Czech PM buys land plot in Slovenia

Former Czech Prime Minister and billionaire Andrej Babiš, who is now facing trial for misuse of EU subsidies, is buying residential land in Slovenia. He has bought a plot of land in the centre of Ljubljana with his investment fund Hartenberg and the Slovak developer Corwin, where up to 400 flats can be built. The transaction, worth an estimated €25 million, would make Andrej Babiš one of the major players on the Slovenian real estate market, reported the investigative server Necenzurirano.si, quoted by the Czech daily E15.cz.

ECE to invest €350 million in European resi markets

ECE has launched its inaugural European residential real estate fund and successfully raised equity commitments from renowned institutional investors, including two large highly reputable German insurance groups. With the capital raised in the first closing, the fund plans the purchase of investments with a volume of more than €350 million. Further capital commitments from institutional investors will be raised in the coming months. The strategic partner for the residential build-to-rent investments of institutional investors in the newly launched fund is the specialized Group company ECE Living. It is supported in concept and product design as well as in capital raising by the investment banking boutique Victoria Partners.

Eurovea Tower gets Slovakia among countries with skyscrapers

New leases

  • E-commerce player 4M Pro&Invest has leased nearly 4,100 sqm of warehouse space in Panattoni Park Poznań XIV. This agreement marks the completion of the leasing of the two completed phases of the development.
  • Panattoni has commenced construction on the latest phase of Panattoni Park Gorzów II, developing a bespoke BTS warehouse for DPD Polska. The facility will encompass 5,300 sqm tailored to the courier company’s operational requirements. DPD Polska is scheduled to begin operations at the new site in August 2026.
  • Romanian strategic advisory firm Infinexa Restructuring has relocated its HQ to GTC’s City Gate South Tower in Bucharest. The move supports their integrated approach to delivering complex debt restructuring, insolvency mandates, and preventive procedures for distressed companies.

New appointments

  • Panattoni has promoted Nick Cripps to the position of Head of International Capital Markets for Europe, the UK, the Middle East, and India. Based in London, Cripps is tasked with leading the firm’s global capital markets strategy across 18 diverse markets. He joined Panattoni five years ago as Head of UK Capital Markets.
  • PSN has expanded its acquisitions team with the arrival of Martin Šrytr as Business Development Manager. Most recently, he served as Real Estate Expansion Manager at Twistcafe Group, supporting the company’s EMEA growth. His previous experience includes consulting at Cushman & Wakefield, advisory roles at Prochazka & Partners, and management positions within IWG.
  • iO Partners has announced key leadership changes within its Czech Republic operations as part of its ongoing business evolution. Milan Kilik has been appointed as the new Head of Office Leasing, with a particular focus on client advisory and team collaboration. Concurrently, Petr Kareš has transitioned into the role of Occupier Business Development Director. In this new capacity, he will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities and integrating services across Tenant Representation, Project Management, and Industrial Leasing.
