PSN prepares large rental projects in Prague

Due to the high prices of flats and houses, less availability of mortgages, extreme inflation, as well as the rising price of building materials and labour, people in the Czech Republic are now looking more for rental housing. The influx of refugees from Ukraine has also significantly increased the interest in renting. Under the influence of the enormous demand, rental prices are thus starting to reach the pre-Covida level, and in some places have already exceeded it. According to PSN, the availability of apartments is decreasing and the company is now preparing entire projects for rental housing.

PSN wants to build 3,000 flats in Czech cities

In 2021, PSN has grown not only in the number of collaborators but also in the number of projects and new acquisitions. It sold 294 units for CZK 1.5 billion and completed over 800 leases worth CZK 70 million. PSN's plans for the next five years include the construction of 3,000 new apartments worth CZK 11 billion and it plans to invest another CZK 10 billion in land acquisitions.

New leases

  • International 3PL operator Global Reach Logistics signed a lease agreement for 26,500 sqm at Prologis Park Poznań II, announced 108 Agency who has contributed to this project.
  • The Polish branch of Japanese logistics company Yusen Logistics has leased 8,700 sqm of additional warehouse space in Goodman’s Toruń Logistics Centre, bringing it up to full occupancy.
  • Hines has announced the signing of a new seven-year lease with clothing company Local Heroes at the Ambassador office building in Warsaw .The new tenant will initially occupy 570 sqm of temporary space, with plans to expand to 651 sqm later this year.

New appointments

  • Dorota Mielke has joined Office Agency team of BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland and taken the position of Associate Director. Her main task in the new role will be taking care of business development and advising on office strategies and space rental.
  • Dariusz Domański has been promoted to be a Managing Partner at White Star Real Estate in Poland. He will be responsible for Residential Development business of White Star Real Estate and White Star Residential Management operating businesses. Darek will also continue to manage White Star’s flagship project- Elektrownia Powiśle.
  • Mariusz Cieśliński has joined the Polish team of MNK Partners to take up the position of Investment Manager. In his new role, he will be responsible for supporting the investment processes of funds across Europe.
