Czech JRD merges two divisions into JRD Real Estate

JRD is merging two of its divisions. JRD Development, a specialist in sustainable development and healthy living, and JRD Land, a land bank and specialist in subdivision development and urban planning. This creates a division with the new name JRD Real Estate. The CEO of JRD Real Estate remains Alexandra Tomášková, who has been leading the two separate divisions from her position as CEO.

Ceetrus merges with Nodi in new real estate company Nhood

In January 2021, Antoine Grolin, Chairman of Ceetrus and Founding Chairman of Nodi, announced the creation of a new mixed-use property management and development services company, Nhood. The change affects ten countries, including Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia and Ukraine in CEE. The reason for setting up the new company is twofold. On the one hand, the separation of the real estate assets of Ceetrus Property and, on the other hand, the merging of the employees of Ceetrus and Nodi under a unified brand name.

Immofinanz delays merger with CA Immo

Immofinanz AG has announced a change in the preliminary timetable for the intended merger with CA Immobilien Anlagen AG. The reason is the planned divestment of Immofinanz’s Russian property portfolio, which is a condition for the merger of the two companies. The Executive Board and Supervisory Board of Immofinanz today decided to schedule a longer period than originally considered for the process to separate the Russian properties. The recent stabilisation of the economy in Russia has contributed to this decision.

NEPI and Rockcastle announce merger

NEPI and Rockcastle have announced that the two companies will effectively be merged in a new entity, NEPI Rockcastle, to be implemented with reference to an effective share swap ratio of 4.5 existing Rockcastle shares for every 1 existing NEPI share. Alexandru Morar and Spiro Noussis, the current chief executive officers of NEPI and Rockcastle, respectively, will be appointed joint chief executive officers of NEPI Rockcastle, with Dan Pascariu appointed as independent non-executive chairman. The merged entity is expected to become the largest listed real estate player in CEE.

Latest news


New leases

  • Two new shops, ISpot and Rituals, have opened in the Forum Gliwice shopping centre. A larger Half Price has also started operating. The centre is owned by Deka Immobilien and managed by MVGM.
  • Lux Med Group has joined the group of tenants in Kraków's The Park complex, opening a dental clinic in the office building. The clinic has taken up an area of almost 900 sqm in the B1 building.
  • Flexible office operator CitySpace will launch its fifth location in Warsaw in October. The development in the Nowogrodzka Square office building owned by the French property manager will operate under the name CitySpace Novo and will occupy 2,500 sq m on two floors.

New appointments

  • Pascal Gadet became General Manager of the Radisson Collection Hotel Warsaw on 1st of July this year. A native of the Netherlands, Pascal Gadet has more than 30 years' experience in the hotel industry and has been with the Radisson Group for 20 years.
  • The Office Agency team at Avison Young has gained a new member. Aleksandra Mącik has joined the team as a Consultant.
  • Marcin Kucinski, previously Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed General Manager at Royal Tulip Warsaw Apartments, replacing Rafal Kincer, who took over as CEO of Polski Holding Hotelowy as of 15th of July 2024.
