Hotel operator Hotel Co 51 has introduced its fifth Marriott brand to its European portfolio with the opening of the Element by Westin® Wrocław - the operator's second Polish property.

Marriott International, Inc., announced its plans to expand its portfolio in Poland with the expected addition of more than 10 properties in the next few years, including the debut of two brands - Le Méridien and Element Hotels by Westin - in the market. The anticipated openings will further enhance the company’s footprint in the country, where it currently has a portfolio of 24 properties and over 4,500 rooms across 12 brands and eight cities - Warsaw, Sopot, Kraków, Poznań, Katowice, Wrocław, Gdynia and Szczecin. 

AC Hotels by Marriott, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 31 brands, announced its brand debut in Croatia with the opening of AC Hotel by Marriott Split. Housed on the high floors of the 135-metre-high Westgate Tower, the hotel offers 214 guestrooms.

The former Ballet Institute has been transformed into the five-star W Budapest hotel offering 151 rooms and suits in the very heart of the Hungarian capital. The new facility is part of the global portfolio of the Marriott Bonvoy brand. 

Business and leisure travel is back in CEE, including Hungary, which makes investments more profitable than it was expected a year ago. Property Forum asked Silvija Lovreta, Senior Director of South Eastern Europe - International Hotel Development at Marriott International about the extensive development pipeline and ways the company meets environmental challenges. On behalf of Marriott's local partner for the development of the first Moxy hotel in Budapest, Forestay Group, Bálint Botos also commented on a few questions.

The Le Meridian brand will offer 102 rooms and is scheduled to be open in 2025, telex. hu reports. This will be Marriott's first Hungarian hotel outside Budapest.

Marriott International has signed an agreement with Forestay Group to debut the Moxy Hotels brand in Budapest. Construction is predicted to begin this autumn, with the opening expected in 2025.

Marriott International has agreed to open the first Sheraton hotel in the Hungarian capital. The grand opening is scheduled for June 2023. The new hotel will offer 105 rooms and a medium size conference facility and will be managed by Accent Hotel Management.

Marriott Hotels, the signature flag of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 hotel brands, has opened Tirana Marriott Hotel, the first Marriott Hotel in Albania. The hotel is located next to the multi-purpose complex of the National Arena and within walking distance to governmental offices, international institutions as well as key historical and cultural sites.

Marriott International has signed an agreement with Riva's Hotels & Resorts to bring Marriott Hotels to Croatia. Located in Icici on the Opatija Riviera, the new-build hotel is anticipated to open in 2024.
