The former Ballet Institute has been transformed into the five-star W Budapest hotel offering 151 rooms and suits in the very heart of the Hungarian capital. The new facility is part of the global portfolio of the Marriott Bonvoy brand. 


Andrássy Avenue, a prime retail and hotel destination in Budapest has welcomed another luxury accommodation, the W Budapest Hotel which is part of the Marriott Bonvoy brand. The 135-year-old building, formerly Drechsler Palace, hosted first-class ballet students and artists over many decades after the Second World War. 

The hotel is part of W Hotels Worldwide and offers 151 high-end rooms, including 45 suits and three different dining concepts. There are several special rooms for events and meetings. 

The interior designers were the Bowler James Brindley studio from London and the Hungarian Bánáti+Hartvig studio. DVM Group worked for 2.5 years on Drechsler Palace as the general contractor, responsible for the project's historic renovation and implementation of the interior design.
