Romania's land market demonstrated robustness in 2024, registering a transaction volume similar to 2023, of around €450 million, despite economic and political uncertainties, according to a Colliers report.

Arcona Property Fund (APF), a Euronext-listed real estate fund focused on CEE, has purchased a land plot in central Kyiv from AIM London-listed Secure Property Investment and Development (SPDI). 

GTC has raised €82 million from the sale of two assets in Poland and Croatia as part of a strategy designed to strengthen its financial position.  

Hungarian developer and investor Biggeorge Property Plc has purchased a 35,000 sqm development land plot in Budapest, from ECE, for an undisclosed sum.

Develia has concluded a final sales agreement for a real estate property located on Kolejowa Street in Wrocław with a subsidiary of AFI Europe. The land market in Bucharest and other regional cities is seeing increasing demand from developers of data centers that want to accommodate growing investments in the country’s IT&C industry, according to a report by iO Partners.

Real estate developer Park Properties has purchased a 15,000 sqm land plot on the shores of Lake Snagov, near Bucharest, for a luxury villa residential development.

CTP has purchased a 140,000 sqm plot of land located within the Pomeranian Investment Centre (PCI) - an industrial park located in the vicinity of the largest container terminal on the Baltic Sea. The land acquired from the Gdańsk Economic Development Agency will be used to construct the next stage of the CTPark Gdańsk Port industrial and logistics complex.

The retail and residential players have been the most active buyers of land during H1 2024, while speculative transactions are also gaining ground, according to Colliers Romania research.
