Indotek Group has completed the acquisition of 11 office buildings in 5 business parks in Belgrade from GTC. With the closing of one the recent years’ largest transactions in CEE, Indotek Group has further strengthened its position in the regional real estate market and is now present in 12 countries.
Indotek Group has modernised three of its malls, Szeged Plaza, Kaposvár Plaza and Szolnok Plaza, for nearly HUF 2 billion. The property group began its shopping mall renovation programme with the aim of creating buildings even more in line with the needs of tenants and shoppers by modernising the external façades and interior spaces. The three updated malls now await visitors with a modern exterior, a new environment, and new stores and services.

Globe Trade Centre has decided to sell its Belgrade office portfolio to the Hungarian investor Indotek Group. The proposed acquisition price is €267.6 million, exceeding the book value of GTC’s Serbia portfolio as of 31 December 2020. The agreement will cover the sale of 11 buildings within 5 business parks of a total 122,175 sqm GLA with high occupancy rates, located in the New Belgrade district. Once completed in Q3 2021, the sale will become one of the largest real estate transactions in the last 5 years on the CEE market.
Immofinanz has sold four office buildings in Warsaw to the Indotek Group, a Hungarian real estate firm. The buildings have a total rental space of approximately 45,300 sqm. The sales price amounts to €72.5 million.
Hungarian investor Diófa Asset Management has appointed new senior officials, including a new CEO, deputy CEO and chairman, the company announced. Following the recently completed acquisition of Diófa, Indotek Group expects the fund manager to secure a substantial market share in Hungary and increase its presence in the CEE region.

Mid Europa Partners, a private equity investor in Central and Eastern Europe, announced an agreement to sell 24% of the issued share capital in Waberer's International Nyrt. to Trevelin Holding Zrt. (member of Indotek Group). It also granted a call option to Indotek over Mid Europa's remaining 47.99% of the issued share capital. The transaction is subject to customary anti-trust clearance and is expected to close by the end of the first quarter 2021.
Modesta Real Estate has found a new office location for one of the leading suppliers of LPG in Slovakia. FLAGA, part of UGI International, will move into about 300 sqm in the Westend Business Zone close to the city centre of Bratislava in May 2023.
Szerémi Office Building in Budapest welcomed an unnamed new tenant which has signed a long-term lease agreement for 1252 sqm of space in the property. The complex of three interconnected buildings provides a total floor space of nearly 10,500 sqm.
Kucera Logistics Group Sp. z o.o Sp. K. has decided to open a new distribution centre at Panattoni Park Pruszków V. The tenant will occupy nearly 3,300 sqm of warehouse and office space in the new location. AXI IMMO represented Kucera Logistics Group in the transaction.

Daniel Cateliu has been appointed as Director in the Industrial & Logistics department of real estate consultancy CBRE Romania. He is currently pursuing an EMBA at the University of Sheffield in the UK. Cateliu is a graduate of the Faculty of Political Sciences within the SNSPA, subsequently following a master's program and earning an Erasmus scholarship at the University of Trieste in Italy.
