The Independent Committee of the Globalworth Board has published its response circular in connection with the unsolicited cash offer by CPI Property Group S.A. and Aroundtown SA at €7.00 per Globalworth share. The Independent Committee continues to believe that the offer significantly undervalues Globalworth, its assets and its prospects.
Romania recorded new real estate investments worth €85 million in the first quarter of 2021, down 42% year-on-year, in line with the lower results of other markets in Central and Eastern Europe, according to a report by Colliers.

On 14 April 2021, CPI Property Group S.A. and Aroundtown SA unilaterally announced a firm intention to make a cash offer for the share capital of Globalworth not already owned or controlled by them at €7.00 per Globalworth share. On 19 April 2021, Globalworth announced the formation of an independent committee of the Board to evaluate the offer.
CPI Property Group formed a joint venture with Aroundtown SA and announced a cash offer for the entire issued share capital of Globalworth that the JV did not already hold. The two companies currently own more than 50% of Globalworth’s issued share capital.
The Globalworth Foundation provided an office space from the Globalworth group to the authorities in Bucharest for a vaccination centre. Led by the public authorities of Bucharest, the activity of the centre will consist of vaccinating as many people as possible in the third phase of the national vaccination campaign.
