Globalworth Romania has begun construction of Green Court D, the fourth building in the Green Court complex in Bucharest's Aurel Vlaicu area. The project is scheduled for completion in 2027 and is currently in the preliminary construction stage involving enclosure and basement excavations.

Ema Iftimie, Managing Director at Globalworth Romania, spoke with Property Forum about the group’s office pipeline in Romania and the plans for the existing commercial portfolio that has been completed following an investment of more than €900 million.

Office investor Globalworth has appointed Ema Iftimie as Managing Director for its real estate operations in Romania, replacing Marian Popa, who will step down as of December 1st.

UniCredit Romania has inked a deal with Globalworth for the extension of its lease agreement in the UniCredit HQ building by 2030. The bank has been occupying the building with a leasable area of 17,400 sqm since its opening in 2012. 

Romanian lender Banca Transilvania has leased 10,000 sqm of office space in Green Court A, the building in northern Bucharest owned by Globalworth.

E-commerce player eMAG has leased 10,000 sqm in Globalworth Square in Bucharest for its new HQ in one of the largest office leasing deals closed in the year to date.
