Property developer Portland Trust has inked a partnership with Griffes for managing the leasing and commercial operations of Bucharest-based J8 Office Park.

The first phase of the Le Jardin residential park has secured a BREEAM 'Very Good' certification. This is the first such project to get this type of certification in Hungary.

Panattoni received a BREEAM Outstanding in the International New Construction system for Panattoni Park Konin. It is already the fourth investment by the developer in Europe with the highest rating in this system. The total area of its buildings confirmed by an ecological certificate has already exceeded 12 million sqm, and another 4.5 million sqm is in the certification process, including five BREEAM Outstanding investments and DGNB Platinium.

Speedwell obtained the BREEAM Excellent Certification for the first building in The Ivy residential complex under development in northern Bucharest.

The HOP office project in Warsaw has been awarded the WELL Health – Safety Rating by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) following a complex review that covered a range of health-related factors including air and water quality.

Urbanity Campus Tachov, located west of Plzeň, became the first industrial complex in the Czech Republic to receive an international BREEAM Communities certification. It has now completed the three-year certification process with the final rating of “Excellent”. The construction of the second phase of the project is now launching, which will offer 55,000 sqm of leasable space.

Property group NEPI Rockcastle has updated its green financing framework by introducing more stringent eligibility criteria for financing or refinancing the assets or expenditures classified as eligible green projects. 

UDI Group has opened the fully completed Sázava Logistics Park on the D1 motorway near Ostředek in the Central Bohemia Region. The construction of the complex, which offers 50,000 sqm of space, required an investment of CZK 1 billion (€42 million). Approximately 300 employees have found work in four plants. The group is currently building another similar facility, which will offer 130,000 sqm of space in three halls. The investment is worth CZK 3 billion (€126 million).

Adrian Pop, General Manager of ADP green building, talked to Property Forum about the demand for sustainability assessments of buildings and the company’s expansion into the ESG services segment, which is increasingly requested by real estate companies. In 2022 alone, the company completed 108 BREEAM certifications, more than double the previous year, for commercial projects across Romania.
