Skanska has been assigned to construct a new medical faculty for the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW).


The Collegium Medicum UKSW building is to be built on the university’s campus at ul. Wóycickiego 1/3. The work carried out by Skanska will include not only the construction of the facility but also the demolition of an existing lecture hall, the installation of utilities and the purchase and delivery of all the necessary materials and equipment.

Poznań studio GPVT Pracownia Architektoniczna in is responsible for the design of the 3,816 sqm building, which will have three above-ground storeys and one underground. It will comprise teaching rooms, specialised labs for the training of future doctors and rooms for medical simulations. Skanska will also be installing advanced audiovisual systems. The building will also feature extensive photovoltaic installations. Students should be able to have their first classes in the faculty in Q3 or Q4 2021.
