Panattoni has started construction work on a factory for Danfoss Poland in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. The development with an area of 12,000 sqm will be equipped with several ecologically friendly systems that will make the building highly energy-efficient and also improve the conditions for the workforce of around 400 people. The building is scheduled to be completed in November 2021. It will be used as a place to manufacture components for the RAC (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) business division.

Panattoni has begun the development of another BTO (built-to-own) building. This time the developer is to deliver an advanced factory with an area of 12,950 sqm for Danfoss Poland – a branch of a Danish producer of energy-efficient components and technological systems for the refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, disk drive and mobile machines sector. The ceremonial start of construction took place on October 13th, 2020 on the site of the Danfoss factory in Grodzisk Mazowiecki.

The building being developed by Panattoni for Danfoss Poland will be used as a place to produce technological components for refrigeration and air conditioning units. The project is to be developed following the principles of sustainable construction and will be equipped with systems to ensure the high energy efficiency of the building as well as improving the working conditions of the staff. For this reason, the developer is to install a ventilation system that will include heat exchangers, heating and cooling with heat recovery from water chillers as well as air compressors and heat imaging of electrical installations. The thermal transmittance factor will be lowered below the technical standards required for 2021 and the thermal insulation of the roof will come to 0.12 W/m2K. Mechanically controlled blinds are also to be installed in the glazed offices of the building and the roof is also to be suitable for the installation of photovoltaic solar panels, which are to be used for the charging of electric vehicles. The building in its entirety is to be controlled by an advanced BMS system. It is to be divided into three zones: production space (7,220 sqm), warehouse space (1,650 sqm), and the offices and laboratory space (2,450 sqm). Additionally, a technical building (1,405 sqm) will be on the development site as well as a service building (225 sqm).

The project is to be developed in two stages. The first is planned to already be complete by mid-April 2021 with early access to the site to be granted a month before completion; however, the final handover of the Danfoss Poland building is planned for November 30th, 2021.
