Forest Center (formerly Forest Offices) will be taken over by the University of Debrecen at the end of January 2023. The property was opened in 2019 and acquired by Central European developer and investor GTC in 2021. No details were disclosed about the size of the latest transaction.
Debrecen University has an extensive property portfolio. The management of this major educational hub decided to establish a single company called UD Forest to oversee the property and facility management of this portfolio, realista.hu reports.
The majority of the 22,000 sqm space in the Forest Center will be used by commercial tenants. British Telecom's 500 staff will move in shortly. The university is to have a certain chunk of the space for its use. In addition, a private healthcare company will lease a separate space in the building.
